How can I get from Pico Rivera, CA to Catalina Island?

The Catalina Flyer and Catalina Express have several ferry points. I believe Long Beach/San Pedro, Newport Beach/Balboa Island, Dana Point/Laguna Beach and Marina Del Rey are the most frequently traveled. You'd have to drive to the most convenient port to you, pay the money for the ferry, and then take it over to the island.

Your other options would be via a private charter or helicopter, both of which are readily available at most ports.

I sense there is more to your question than you are asking! Many of the previous responses give you great information and websites to check out. Are you coming to visit someone in Pico Rivera and want to go to Catalina for the day? Or are you just trying to figure out how to get to the port from Pico Rivera?

Here's what I would do:

Take the 710 freeway south all the way to where it ends in Long Beach. You will go across Ocean Blvd. to the Catalina Express Catalina Landing Terminal at 320 Golden Shore. There is a parking structure where you can leave your car. (The parking fee is $12 a day.) Park your car, buy your tickets, and you're on your way.

Once you get to Avalon you can walk around, rent bikes or a golf cart, or take organized tours.

Drive to Long Beach Terminal island and take the ferry to Catalina.

You have to take the freeway( the 405) exit off of seventh street and look for pine ave, go straight down until you see parking. then you go by the aquarium and look for the catalina expres, which takes you to the shore of catalina

YOu have to go to LA.. I thnk it is LA and then get a ferry across.. the only OTHER way that I know of is a private boat or a paid helicopter ride.
