our flight is on 12th for london gatwick due to land on 13 this mo. is the airlines offering to change flight?

There is no fee to change your reservation as long as you do it before September 1. Here is the announcement on their website:

Not at this time. But.. be sure to call American Airlines.. 1-800-882-8880 and find out... If you are afraid to fly on it, I would not be..
