Because she didn't know him for the man that he isn't. She listened to his promises, and didn't take them for lies. She didn't have enough faith in herself, or pride in herself - to at least use a condom and wait for marriage, to have unprotected sex.
There should be more laws about deadbeat sperm donors, but sadly...there's not. Until then, it's up to the women to protect themselves, to protect their own lives. Until there's an "i do" - there should be set rules of using a condom.

If a young woman waits until she is old enough to have a good relationship, and if she waits until she finds a husband who would make a good father and who wants to be a family, and if she is selective and has high standards for person she'll have a baby with; then the baby's father won't leave (or if there's a divorce at least he won't abandon his child).
Its too bad many young women are ready to call themselves "females" (which is usually how we describe our little-girl cats and dogs) and don't seem to see themselves as "young ladies". If you see yourself as a "young lady", act that way and expect others to treat you that way you are more likely to attract a better father for any future babies.

The Guy is SORRY, LOW DOWN, ne thing you want to say about them. They are ready for sex but they are not ready for what they have made most of them are still children and they are not mean yet. that is why you see soo many single mothers. IF YOU DON"T WANT BABYS KEEP YOUR LEGS SHUT AND WEAR CONDOMS. tell the guys soo. I hope you or whoever you are asking for learns from there MISTAKES!!! Have a good Day

I think there are many reasons. One main reason has to be that they are scared. Just from experience its very hard raising a newborn and I think many men aren't ready. We have 9 months to prepare and think about the baby everyday. I just don't think they really prepare. But this doest excuse them for leaving.

The blame falls onto both parties.
* Having unprotected sex with people they know nothing about
* Wanting to get pregnant for all the wrong reasons
* Worthless loser men who think of no one but themselves
I could go on for hours...what it boils down to is that people need to be more responsible and think of the consequences of having unprotected sex.

He could be scared, or just a total jerk. Probably freaked out about the MASSIVE responsibility of having a child, its daunting for some guys, they feel trapped..insecure. So they look for comfort elsewhere.

You are dumb enough to have sex before marriage & have a child out of wedlock. Married men don't leave when babies are born.
