If it's on a DVD, are you sure you have a DVD drive and that the DVD is loaded into that? If you have only a CD drive, then it won't read a DVD.

Hi there.

A CD-R / DVD-R are normally written or burned in the ISO format (or UDF format for some DVDs) and are supported by all mayor operating systems. If you have a DVD-R with Data on it, you should be able to view that data via Windows explorer or same for other OS.

If you cant even view the DVD on you PC the dvd might be corrupted. There is also another posibility for some older DVD Roms, not to read newer fabricated medias (DVD-R DVD+R).

Make sure your DVD Rom actually IS a DVD Rom and that it supports the DVD format you are trying to use. If you have a little know how, you can also update the Firmware of your DVD Rom, but that is for advanced users only since it can damadge your DVD Rom so ONLY do this as LAST resort and if you know what you are doing!

Also make sure that the Software you are trying to install is supported by your Operating System, since you wont be able to install, IE, Linux software on a Windows OS. And dont forget, YOU NEED to have ADMINISTRATOR RIGHTS to install any program.

Hope this Helps ;-)
