Why do some men feel they need to act like some one there not.?

I mean if a guy is looking for a long term relationship or ends up in one, why do they act fake. Sooner or later they will show there true selves, and that even causes more drama, so why, and how can they act like they don't even care sometimes or lie alot for stupid reasons.

men are afraid to show their true colors at first especially when they like the girl.. they try to impress gurls, making them think he's her knight in shining armour...let them fall inlove with them... as the relationship go along, that's wer u see their true colors... some men are expecting their mates to accept them of what they are... the others are doing it on purpose if they already get what they want from the gurl...

Cause some guys just feel being themselves is not going to get them with that person they like or maybe think they like. And therefore they hide the things they think will hurt their chances with them..

Other cases they just hide them so they can get something their lookin for (sad to say but its true).

Sometimes they feel they just cant reveal that to them.. eh.

A million reasons its up to the type of guy I guess..

Because guys that have no selfconfidence need to act like they have it otherwise they WILL be rejected by girls, cause thats the most important thing for girls, more than money or looks.
They need to act tough, girls dont like wussies, thats a fact.

Hey same goes for girls too okay. But I think most people do it because they want to look like a better person for you, when really, all they're doing is digging a bigger hole for their lies.

because they are trying to determine what in the world the gal wants - you know, smart/not too smart, strong but not too stong, sensitive but independent but not too independent, spiritual but not a wack job, etc etc etc
