I don't use a coaster when I put a glass on the coffee table. Nothing is going to hurt that old thing and I just cover it up if it bothers my mother in law. Usually I don't and watch her carefully avert her eyes from the rings. Hee Hee. Danes are so funny!

Eating my cake upside down. I'm certain my father had a permanent wedgie...
I always turn my cake upside down and eat most of the cake portion, then smash the remaining crumbs into the icing and eat it. I am now in my 40s and have since taught my 5 yr old daughter how to do it - at Grandpa's house... LOL
I swear some parents are so uptight and controlling.... "Choose your battles wisely" is my motto.

So many of them;
Sometimes I like to make dinner for breakfast for me and my kids.
We have the same rules, but I let my kids be spontaneous and we all break them together sometimes.
Sometimes the floor is lava, and we all walk on the furniture.
Sometimes we take a late night walk, on a school night.
I teach my kids rules are good, but sometimes it is okay to break the rules.
You know what, I have GREAT KIDS!!!

My grandmother INSISTED everyone cut off the same end of the butter at the table. She did this to her kids and grandkids. I eat breakfast at my mom's every Sunday morn and we fight to see who can cut off the opposite end 1st, she'd have a heart attack....Also she insisted the food be passed in clockwise position, now we grin and pass it across the table on purpose.
