My dad just had a heart attack and needs to change his diet. He is not super overweight, but does have higher cholesterol. If you have any heart healthy recipe ideas I would appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

Definitely go to the American Heart Association's website. They have recipes and recipe books which are very helpful.

JELLO DESSERT 1 pkg large jello coolwhip fresh fruits Make the jello as on the package but use 1/2 cup less water per package. In a non metalic bowl, add jello and Add fresh fruit like fresh strawberries, grapes, chopped apples. Let it chill for 4-6 hours. Mix up the jello and add 1/2 tub of cool whip. Add more if desired. Mix well, and its like an ambrosia. Serve in glass cups and top with more fresh fruit.

You could start eating a salad after dinner, put a fruit bowl in the middle of the table, little things lke that.

Also, go to www.spatullata.com for healthy recipies. Then you decide if that is good for your dad. Hope evryhting works out well!!!!
