I think any kind of travel posters, especially to places you have been, are nice. They add color, and it's a good conversation starter. Someone says, "Have you ever been there?" and you can say, yes, and talk about it, or No, and say why you'd like to go.

I personally like Ansel Adams prints.

They have a lot of very interesting posters and prints, ranging from impressionist art to still life photography.

There are some cool MC Escher(sp?) posters that I saw around when I was in college. Also I saw some Dr.Suess prints.

Coors Twins, movie posters, anything that strikes your fancy from that little store that sells prints in your local mall.

Cruise around sites like http://www.allposters.com/, and http://www.art.com/. Go for something controversial, abstract and contemporary without being crude or offensive to the people you'll be entertaining.
