ORAL FIXATION
BABIES HAVE THIS. IT IS A NORMAL "HUMAN REFLEX" REQUIRED TO THRIVE AND EAT.
NORMAL OFTEN, CHILDREN AND ADULTS RETAIN THIS ORAL LONG AFTER INFANCY.
YOUR NUTZ- O- METER IS OFF. BE GENTLE WITH HER
IF THAT BOTHERS YOU
KEEP IT TO YOURSELF. THEIR IS NO "CONSTRUCTIVE: CRITICISM; ONLY CRITICISM WHICH HURTS ..
REPHRASE ALL AS PRAISE
IF SHE' S HAPPY AND ENGAGED WITH THINGS SHE ENJOYS SHE WILL SPEND LESS TIME.... IRRITATING YOU : )

Cut her hair short enough so it's not there or keep it constantly pulled back. Seriously, I chewed on my hair as a child and I still found myself - when my hair was long - absentmindly pulling it toward my mouth as an adult - I would up cutting it and that's what solved that habit.

Tell her a time limit and something fun like this. If you stop sucking on your hair for a week then you and me will go out and have ice cream or eat at your favorite resteraunt. i did the same thing when i was little and this is what my mom did to get me to stop.

The stomach cannot digest hair. Please pull it back or like the other poster suggested cut it too short. She could have pica. Pica is a term that refers to cravings for substances that are not foods. Materials consumed by patients with pica include dirt, ice, clay, glue, sand, chalk, beeswax, chewing gum, laundry starch, and hair.

Just cut her hair or dont let it drive you nuts, it is something alot of kids do, maybe try getting her something interesting to bite instead of her hair like a blanket or something soft

Cut her hair to where it is too short for her to do that. If you don't want to do that, then put it up in a pony tail and tell her she better let it be or else!

try giving her gum to chew. that way her mouth is always busy and you don't have to worry about hairballs!
