Yes, i can not stand people dragging their baby around with just a diaper. Put some clothes on that baby!!! What makes me sick is parents who drag their new babies out in the cold weather with just a little shirt on and no blanket.

Well honestly the only time I've seen a baby in just a diaper it was usually dirty and/or had a cold and snotty nose so I get the feeling it's usually laziness or just plain old sorryness that makes them take the baby out in public in just a diaper. Of course, there are always exceptions like if the baby just vomitted all over it's outfit or something like that. I try not to be too judgmental, but, if all the kids are half dressed and barefoot running around the store it's hard not to think that it's tacky or even trashy.

Yes, I think it is kind of tacky to take a baby out in nothing but a diaper. If you're hanging out at home, that's fine but if you go out in public, at least put a onesie on the kid!

i can see both sides of the fence here...i would NEVER take my kids out in public without clothes. it does look tacky and there are millions of cute kids clothes to choose from . but i do take my kids to my mothers to play outside where they are not close to the road and can run free, then for my 2 and 1 year old it is just diapers and tons of sunblock, my 4 year old goes without a shirt .but still underwear and shorts then. Much easier and cleaner i might add, then dirty Popsicle and dirt stained clothes, but i do take all three of them an outfit in my bag in case we decide to go anywhere after that.

The answer to your question is very relative and quite subjective. To let one's baby go out in public with just a diaper on, is really not my kind of thing.
People view babies as 'cute' little people- and honestly, many 'crazy' costumes or even clothings are made for them. Just so, it really spurs the consumer market and many companies are making big bucks out of it. Personally, I still think that babies should be dressed modestly especially when you bring them out in public. Even if the weather is really hot, babies can still put on clothes that are comfortable and cool to wear. For example, babies can wear sleeveless shirts or undershirts that are made of 100% cotton.
As for other parents, it's their preference and choice to let their babies go out shirtless. Well, if the babies were any bigger or older, probably they might quarrel with their folks and would ask for a shirt to wear on

Not only is it tacky, it can be dangerous to expose such a young baby to the sun, since most infant sunscreens are not made to be used under the age of 6 months. I at least had a onsie on my son when I took him out.

I would never do that with either. It is Tacky. Now I do let my 1 year old out side on my porch in a diaper only, but never in public.

Yes it is but I don't think a pair of shorts with no shirt is tacky. By the way it is spelled diaper

You know, before you judge maybe you should stop and think . Once, I had taken my daughter (then 13 months) out and about. She had a massive poop while we were in the grocery store that went all the up the back of her one piece outfit. I had diapers to change her but unfortunately did not have another outfit to put her in. I had to finish my errands with her just in a diaper. I would never take my kids out in a just a diaper but stuff happens that you can't control. Why do you care? It's not your child. If you don't like it, don't do it.

I totally agree with you. They dress themselves up, and they have their child walking around outside with no shoes, no clothes, just a diaper. HELLO!? That is so sloppy looking, and it makes me question if they even care about their child. I have three, and I would NEVER be that lazy as to not dress my children before going out.
Some of them I've seen don't even look like they've had a bath. I feel so bad for those little kids!
