So if what they say is true and sh*t hits the fan on August 22, are you going to work and send your kids to school????
The school my children attend is within walking distance of housing for many foreign exchange students..from all walks of life.

What I heard from many news channels, is that August 22nd is the day that most muslims celebrate. Apparently Iran is going to give us an answer to the weapons on August 22nd.

I am not trying to start rumors. This is what i heard and was wondering if someone could explain it to me. No, i don't think it will be the end of the world on August 22. It won't be for many many years once we have ruined our Earth.

On the Islamic calendar this date will be the 27th day of the month of Rajab of the year 1427, the commemoration of Muhammad's "night journey".
The Shiite belief is that by throwing the world into destructive chaos, the "13th Imam" will come, who is basically the Muslim messiah.
Iran's lunatic president Ahmadinejad has made several references to this date.

Can you please be more specific?...I can't grasp on the idea that you're trying to point at. What is going to happen on August 22?...And also, don't be swayed that it's going to be the end of the world (if that's what you mean). Yes, we are living in the latter days or the end times, but no one knows whether it's going to be the last day for all of us.
Biblically speaking, no one knows the exact time or day when the Lord Jesus will be coming. Not even the Son of Man knows about it. Only God holds our fate and our lives.

Can you be more specific? I haven't heard of anything happening August 22nd. Where do you live?
Oh, I thought you were referring to that new terrorist threat regarding UK - US flights. I just read about that on-line.
If you are truly worried then by all means keep your kids home that day....better safe than sorry. One missed day of school isn't too bad.

Well it didn't happen on 6/6/06, and now they are predicting it for 8/22/06. Okay, if you say so... Its not going to affect me cause I start teaching on 9/5/06......Don't listen to all that nonsense. Nothing is going to happen.

They have been "predicting" the end of the world, for the past 2000 years, get on with your life, and don't worry about it!

I'd need to get out a rag or towel and clean up the fan.

yeah ok.
I have to go to work, because if I don't, the terrorists win. And I work at the Fire Dept., so I gotta do what I do.
P.S. don't start rumors, they can upset people.
