In UK you need to go to Medical School at university. The requirements are generally high - eg 5"A"s at Scottish Highers. The course is 5 years, after which you work for 2 years at "foundation" level in hospital, then specialise in your chosen field. For GP this involves a further 2 years in hospital followed by a year in General Practice before you are qualified as a GP

You have to go to college, you dont have to major in science but you have to get the necessary amount of credits and do well in those requisite courses (biology, chemistry, physics,). Take the MCAT get into medical school, finish medical school, and bam your a doctor. Then they do that weird matching thing and you get an internship at a hospital for a few years until you can actually work for the hospital.

After high school, you'll generally need 4 years of college, taking specific science courses and other general education courses. Then 4 years of medical school. At that point, you are an MD. Usually, you'll generally do an internship and/or residency for another 2-6 years or so to specialize in a particular area of medicine like family practice or pediatrics.

Being able to spell pediatrician is a good first step. After that, re-reading sentences is good, too. From what you wrote, it seems you want to be a doctor in a general practitioner.

Get the grades in the appropriate subjects to enter medical school. I'm not sure if you necessarily have to be able to spell 'paediatrician' but you could always spell check it.
