I wondered that. I think that anything sold in Duty Free is fine, you could only make it dangerous if you added something to it which you'd need to get through customs with.....good question though, the shops in duty free will be a bit cheesed off if they can't sell anything, and all those delayed passengers won't have anything to do if they can't shop!

This kind of issue came up after 9/11. For example, in the Hong Kong airport, there used to be a store inside the secure area that sold Victorinox pocket knives. I'm sure they don't sell them anymore. Perhaps soon no drinks will be sold inside.

So long as you don't take your Duty Free liquid bombs on the plane you should be fine.
