Well, the first thing you need to do, is quit excusing your behavior. It is not a disease. Call it what it is. Sin. Once you deal with that, the next step is to do what Scripture requires. (I Corinthians 6:18-20)
I would recommend that you get an Internet Service Provider such as Integrity Online, that has filters to prevent accessing pornographic websites.
Next, I recommend a great resource called "Self-confrontation" from the Biblical Counseling Foundation. You can get the book online, or write or call to get it. Here's the link:
http://www.bcfministries.org/materials_sc.htm
Next, I would get a mature Christian guy, and confess this to him. Ask him to hold you accountable in what you do. Give him permission to invade your privacy. There is free software available that tracks your online activities, and e-mails your accountability partner the sites you've visited that month. Here's a link for one of these:
http://www.x3watch.com/
But none of these will work unless you really regret your sin. If you're just sorry that you're doing this, you won't change. Only when you get serious, will you then be able to.

Ok, I'm going way out on a limb here, confessing to something like this in an open forum but I believe one of the reasons we go through similar situations as others, is so we can relate and have compassion for them. I, too, am a Christian and there was a time, several months ago that I would go into the wrong chat rooms, do the whole cyber sex thing, etc. and then I began to feel guilty. I knew this was a sign that I was to stop and God was helping me to realize that because I had truly been searching for His will in my life. It became easier and easier for me to give it up as I began reading His word more, listening to ministers who I knew were sincere in their faith and began using my computer time more creatively and more for the purpose of God. If you truly want to stop and ask God to help you, He will. This doesn't mean it will happen overnight and it doesn't mean that there won't be times when you may slip and do it again, but trust God to help you and He will. And for someone to tell you that if you were a Christian, you wouldn't do it in the first place, that's ridiculous! We are human beings and sometimes, although we truly want to do what is right, we slip, we make mistakes, we temporarily go down the wrong path. That does not mean you are lost or a hopeless case. God will forgive you and He will help you. Christians aren't perfect, they're forgiven!

Cold turky is the only way... it will take the strength of prayer and the help of one who can hold you accountable... do you have a close Christian friend who can be trusted to help you be accountable?.... in any case... shut down the computer and take it in to someone who can wipe it clean... then reload the operation system and the non porn files... you want to do this because those files are on there even if you just delete them... you want them gonegonegone.....and it is a symbolic act of resistance
You do not say if you are married...if you are, move the computer to where it would always be visible to your wife when you are on it... stay compleatly away from any site that has any link to questionable material... even ebay and most espacialy any adult vidio game stuff...
It will not be easy but you need to just quit now... and do get the machine wiped clean... This is as hard or harder that quiting smokeing or the booze... you will need some help from an accountability partner if at all possable....
Get rid of any questionable magazines and other visual porn... if you have printed off pictures then set up a shreder and make a cerimony of destroying them...do not look at them as you do it... just formaly and deliberatly destroy all of them....
avoid all TV and movies that contain any hint of what you are fighting against... Get a hobby that can fully ingross you and use up the time you used to spend on porn...
I will pray on this for you to recieve the strength you need and that God will send you an accountability partner... It can be done... I did it...so can you...With God's help...always turning to God.

you are a Christian! HA! You are the sickest form of porn addict out there. If you like that porn so much drop the christian bit, then you won't be a sinner, just a perv. Do you have any children? A daughter? Remember, you are getting off looking at someone else child. Would you want your kids in porn? No? Just stop it. It leads to freakier sh*t to get you off, and who knows, you become a rapist or child molester. The media just loves stories about Christian child molesters. By calling it a disease you are not taking responsibility for you actions. You are a liar, hypocrite and you make me sick. I have higher expectations for those who claim to be Christians. I am agnostic and live a very moral life. Go to a shrink dude before it's too late. Your church will be no help, they will tell you to repent and accept Jesus, again, and all of your problems will vanish. it is a load of crap. Only you have the power over your own actions. The greatest gift that god gave all of us isn't the Bible, it is free will. use it man, and free yourself from porn!

First of all, you need to pray. That is the most effective way probably. Ask for guidance, for self control, for joy in what is godly. Second, you can call 1-888-Need-him or go here: http://www.allaboutlifechallenges.org/porn-addiction-christian-helpline-faq.htm . Having someone you can lean that is a strong Christian will help tremendously.

It is well, you know your problem and the solution is inside of you.You are the temple of God and you must keep it clean or holy.God said with your actions i will know you believe not with your words. So first step, accept Jesus as your Lord and saviour, invite the Holy spirit into your life and God said in His words;come to me and i will cure you of your backsliding. Now you must act by activating child safety device on your computer so any time you are online, you will not be able to log in to these websides.Jesus said better to go to heaven with one eye than with two eyes in hell, pluck it out.It is not easy but you can be free because you have been freed in Jesus name. You can't stop being a drunkard if you always visit a pub.You have to stop going there so you will not be in the mood to drink.

It's not a disease, it is a choice.
So go do something else.. or better yet just remove the guilt you have about it and keep doing it.
We all have to have something we are good at. Porn just happens to be yours.

BOBCAT,
I admire your openness and courage in asking for help in such a public forum. My answer is for you to go to my Yahoo! 360 page and read the entry titled “Reign in Life – May 2006.” It will tell you that you are righteous, but you just need to be more like Jesus. It discusses Paul’s struggle with sin and God’s solution. You can succeed in your struggle against sin.
You are welcome to read all of the entries, but May’s entry answers your question. Also realize that admitting your weaknesses, according to the Bible, will cause the power of Jesus to rest on you.
I have prayed for you.
God bless.

I am going to provide you with a link to an article that talks about not only the harm of porn, which you already understand, but toward the end, it gives advice on how to break free of the habit.
