I have very thick, curly hair. When down it almost up to my shoulders. I dont know what to do with it. When i put it down it looks like an afro so i wear it up. It is very poofy. If i straighten it, what would be the best straightener to buy that works well, and fast? When i borrow a friends it takes about 1-1.5 hours. Also if i want to put it down how and what should i use? ( what kind of gel, spray, ect.) Thanks!!

I think that if you want to wear it down you should try french braids.I say this because french braids are a cool hip style. Also a good straightener is Mazzini but u can only buy it from a stylist. French braids also last along time and saves great time since you wouldn't have to do your hair as often.

Use Redken products. I use their Smooth down butter treat because my hair always gets tangles. My mom buys fresh curls shampoo and conditioner becaause she has curly hair too.
