it is not brand new, and from looking at pics online, it is not the 2006 model, im not sure how to tell how old it is, what kind of Kicker amplifier would i need to power it?

Its a kicker, and it's free.......and that makes it good.
as far as what to push it with, you should be looking up it's specks on the kicker website.

Thats an spl sub. It will get loud but not sound very good, musicly. Hit it with 750-800 watts rms in a ported enclosure and you should be able to make some loud noise. :)
