I have a question for people who believe in God but aren't saved yet. I'm not trying to force anything on you or nothing but I want to know when you say that you will be saved later because you aren't ready yet. How will you know when you are ready? What exactly are you waiting on? Shouldn't you seek the Lord while he is near? When you could you wouln't, now you want to and you can't.......

Maybe thay are waiting for proof. What if the guys that wrote the Bible were actually just like tabloid writers, like for People or the Enquirer?

I am not Christian, nor am I anti-Christian. I respect all religions and firmly believe that all religions are simply different paths to the same end. I believe in the existence of a singular Higher Power who created the earth and everything on it. I do my best to follow the ideas of love, generosity, respect, and compassion, and I pray several times a day. These are the conclusions to which I have come while on a spiritual journey that has, to date, lasted 15 years.
I study world religions as a hobby (well, a bit more seriously than just a mere "hobby") and to be honest, it took 32 years for me to finally get an answer to a question about Christianity that had always bothered me.
I asked dozens of Christians, "What does it mean that Jesus died for our sins." Oddly enough, the answer came to me, not from the Christian sect, but from a philosophy class. I now truly understand what it means to be saved and to accept Jesus into your life, and I feel it is a wholly commendable path to take, but I just feel that I am on a different path. I believe in certain things, such as Karma and reincarnation, that go against the core beliefs of Christianity.
I believe that I am on the right path for me, because I see the results of my prayer and hard work. I see that I am becoming healthier and happier every day. I see that the Higher Power has a plan for me and is guiding me along that path. I know this, because if I step off the path, I get "herded" back on the path...LOL
I hope this answers your question...feel free to email me if you want to ask me anything. I think it is commendable that you are secure in your faith and that you are able to share your feelings without condemnation.

Well, I'm guessing that being saved is a matter of perspective, cause i have an aunt you who supposedly was save by the lord Jesus Crist, she owes me 1000 dollars and she has been avoiding me, she will pay me but she was suppose to pay last February 15. So I guess being save does not sincerely makes you and honest person now does it. But of course she always mentions god.

i'm not exactly sure what u mean by "saved" but, sometimes waiting for something and beleiveing in something bigger or more powerful than you gives people comfort in knowing that someone is there for them when they need them.sometimes not knowing is better than knowing the truth. it helps people get throught things in life. when they die, i guess they think they are saved from all the problems in the world.

anyone who is " saved" because they're afraid of what might happen is brainwashed. if your saved because you think that's the best way to live then ok. you can't live your life in fear or make judgments based on the fear of going to hell. it makes no sense.
