You would want to try a lighter color for starters, something like a red color would be nice, not orange but red, and you would look good as a blond, I am not talking white girl blond or nothing, (No disrespect tended) what you do is go to a shop that is highly known for coloring in your area, ask around first, do not rush into it because there are some people who do hair but, they are not good, and you may get someone who may be a cutter, someone who likes to cut hair, so whatever you do take your time and make sure it's what you want, and not what someone wants for you, you will be the one who has to wear it.

If you have a darker complexion, you should dye your hair a lighter color, like blonde or light brown.
If you have a lighter complexion, you should dye your hair a darker color, like dark brown or black.
Basically, dye your hair a color that will contrast with your skin tone. This is why pale girls look good with dark hair and darker girls look good with lighter hair.
As far as dyeing your hair red, it depends on each person since red is in-between light and dark.

if you want something a little wild, you shoud dye your hair a deep burgandy-amber color with just a hint of purple-plum coming through. And to go a little further, run very thin strawberry blonde highlight strands on the underlayers so it comes through vaguely.

Honestly, don't do it. Unless, of course, you want to do terrible damage to your hair which will lead to break offs and it possibly falling out...keep it natural or get some kind of wash out highlighting/dye kit made with natural ingredients that is a few shades lighter than your natural.

there is a beautifl plum color out there...it looks dark brown, but when you go into sunlight or bright lights, there is a "purplish plum" tint to it. very becoming.
if you want to go crazy, dye the tips a deep red or purple....
very in right now
