I'm from a small town in Montana, and suddenly I'm here in New York... and I'm not sure I like it! My boss told me today that he was an atheist, which he said means he neither believes in or worships God!!! I thought he seemed nice, but now I'm really confused! What should I do?!

You should leave religious tracts in conspicuous places around the office;

Wear several items of jewelry that are in the shape of a cross;

Wear garlic around your neck;

Anytime he is within hearing range, beginning loudly singing hymns;

When he approaches you, kneel and begin praying out loud;

and,

begin looking for another job because if you do those things he will fire you. Which proves he's Satanic.

God Bless and Good Luck..

Troll. Edit: in case you're actually not a troll then you're a moron of the optimal order. To worship the devil might require me to (a) have self belief interior the devil and (b) actively have interaction in acts of worship. I do neither of those issues. Now take your lack of understanding and judgementality and shove them. Edit 2: i'm being adversarial? you purely accused me and everybody like of worshipping the devil! you're certainly a troll. Edit 3: putting a query mark on the top of an insult does no longer turn it right into a query. examine the different solutions. all your question has carried out is to harass human beings and exhibit your own lack of understanding. inspite of the undeniable fact that, the uncomplicated of your English is a giveaway. i do no longer think of you're an fool in any respect. So the only ultimate clarification is which you intentionally got down to offend. In different words, you're a troll.

Were you by any chance on of those unfortunate children who were held prisoner and chained to the bed in a dark room most of your young life? Have they just let you out of your cage after years of rehabilitative therapy?

I'm asking because I can't believe (even for Montana) that you have gone this far in life and NOT heard of what it means to be an atheist OR have never had access to a standard American Websters dictionary so that you could look it up. How are you able to function on the Internet I wonder?

And to answer your question: They chose to believe in Scientific principals and the process of evolution to explain and ardently debate the opposing belief in creationism.

Basically, it is their means to take the ever present side in life called opposition, against, anti...

Everyone after all has to have something to bit*ch about and adpot to feel superior about. That is theirs... Your boss is just an atheist... It has absolutely nothing to do with his ability to be a boss unless that human tendency to BE something at the expense of EVERYTHING else trickles down into his personality as a whole. Then, I suggest you quit. but not just because he is an atheist. They are harmless... mostly.

No, just because someone is an atheist dosen't mean that they worship the devil. It just means that they don't believe in God. I would just go on with my job. If you want to tell you boss about God just let him know that you are a Christian don't tell him anyting else let you actions tell him the rest.

Don't do anything. Being an atheist means just what he says: that he doesn't believe in a God. And if he doesn't believe in God he most likely doesn't believe in the Devil. Don't let that intimidate you. He's still a human being just like you. I'm a committed christian ( in every sense of the word) with atheist friends and i enjoy hanging out with them despite our differences in beliefs. Don't your relationship with him change just because of that cuz that'll do more damage than good.

No if he is an atheist that means that he doesn't believe in any religion, thus he doesn't believe in the devil either. There is nothing you should do, because whether or not you like it your boss has a right to believe what he will.

Have you seriously never ran into an atheist before? Where did you live before, the Amazon Rainforest? Not trying to mock you, but that just blows my mind.

Christians and Atheists alike can be nice people,..like other people have said, Atheists just don't worship anything. I've never quite understood that because for me personally it's comforting believing in God, but, to each his own
as to what to do, remember that God said "love one another as I have loved you" John 13:34

Just because he doesn't believe in "god" doesn't mean he's not nice. And of course he doesn't worship the devil, how stupid are you? Maybe you should go back to Montana and finish your education.

No, it doesn't mean he worships the devil. Atheist literally means he doesn't believe in God, so that means he doesn't worship at all.

No. It only means that he does not subscribe to the belief in God. If he does not believe in God that it is logical to assume that he does not believe in the devil either. The devil is a religious construct that exists in conjunction with God.
