Is it acceptable for a young Christian woman to wear a bikini to the beach? No thongs or anything... serious answers, please.

I am not a Christian. But I tried to find out about such matter as I see
that type of culture widespread in Western countries.
Christianity doesn't allow any kind of dress which is not modest. Bikini is so close to nakedness, and NO WAY it can be modest. So I think, it is not allowed.

yes its fine if you want to. Unless you mean like taking it off for others then its not cool or Christian like but its fine if u want to wear a bikini to the beach.

I would ask why you are wearing the bikini to the beach? I suppose as long as it is covering everything it needs to cover and is not revealing it would be okay.

I have serious Christian friends who wear bikinis. These are your hard-core, Bible-reading, Christian radio station kind of people...

Is it modest?
Will it attract the attention of men in a sexual way?
Also, you have to compare it to what's around. When we were in Jamaica, the european women there were routinely topless. Wearing a modest cut bikini certainly wouldn't attract anyone's attention in that environment.

i think as long as it doesn't cause your brother to stumble. So off course depending on the sister's build you want to make sure the appropriate parts are covered and modest. i know sister's who wear bikinis and will wear a t-shirt over it when they are not in the water, or will wear a towel to cover their bottom...

Theres nothing wrong about being and feeling good in a bikini. Sex appeal is not a sin. Be happy with your body!

I wouldn't wear it. Christians are called to not dress in any manner that could lead another into lustful thoughts. Clothing should cover. You think it over and see what you feel.

The Bible does talk about modesty in regards to our attire. My wife uses this as a basis to buy one-piece suits. I respect that.
