No. Why do you ask?

I have never read about it in the Bible. On the contrary, I have had Sunday School lessons that tend to frown on the practice...I think the idea is that God wove us even in the womb...and we are made in His image...to incinerate rather than let natural processes take place seems abit disrespectful towards the Creator. Cremation, however, I do not believe is a sin. Face it, you're dead...it doesn't really matter. Of course, had Lazarus been cremated, perhaps Christ would not have resurrected him from death. Who knows?

I am not sure whether cremation is in the Bible or not.

The Catholic Church is ok with cremation as long as it is not done as a gesture of denial of the resurrection of the body. Also, the ashes are to be disposed of respectfully, like burial or internment, not scattered out in the ocean or to the wind.

Check out Blueletterbible.org

You can search by words and phrases:

I just tried with Cremation and nothing came up, but that is kind of a modern word.

I looked up fire and over 500 verses have the word fire in it.

I looked up Fire Body and only two verses came up.

So you have to kind of play around with the right words to search by to narrow it down just right.

Good luck
