The Allah in the Koran teaches something totally different than the God of the Bible. So its not like one can say that the name Allah is simply the Arab translation for the God of the Bible. If Allah was the same God of the Bible, the Koran would never have existed simply because what God says is true. Now God inspired men to write the Bible and why would that same God then inspire the Koran that contradicts the Bible in the first place? One obvious way to see this is the role of Jesus Christ in the Koran and the Bible. The angel that inspired Mohammad to write the Koran was a falling angel and that falling angel came to deceive the world into rejection the truth for lies. Those with discernment and who have read both of the Bible and the Koran know that there are a huge difference and that God cannot go against himself or contradict himself. Remember that the Bible scrolls were started written before the Koran, thus the fallen angel being an intelligent being will allow some similarities to exist between the Koran and the Bible to not make it bluntly obvious that the sources of these two books are different, but to those who have the Holy Spirit know that there is still a very huge differences between those two books. It is so obvious to the point that the strict followers of the Koran hate those who follow Christ. Now if Allah was the same God of the scriptures while then would both side want to convert each other? The truth is this, the Bible have the spirit of God in it while the Koran does not. So no, Allah is not the same God as the God of the Bible.

Not sure why you say this, but Allah is the same God of Christians and Jews. It is an Abrahamic religion. The chief prophet is Muhammad.
