Sometimes when you are weight training and doing a good amount of cardio, you end up losing fat... but not weight. Remember, muscle always weighs more than fat. It's quite possible you are gaining muscle mass, but you are still losing the fat. That might be an excuse.
I've been training for a half marathon the last 5 weeks. I've incorporated some weight training as well. I'll be honest in saying I haven't really lost any weight, disappointing as that might be, the real positive thing I have gained from this is the ability to run distances. 5 weeks ago I really struggled to run a mile. In the last 3 days I've logged 11 miles in 2 runs, 6 and 5 milers. I wouldn't even be close to accomplishing that had I not done anything the past few weeks. My half marathon is in less than 6 weeks, and I have every intention of finishing it, I can't give up now I already paid the entrance fee.
I can see you are looking for physical results, but you need to be persistent. Even though you think you aren't accomplishing anything just by what you see, the truth is you are healthier. Do not give up your goal. Don't let yourself down.

Keep you eye on the prize, the goal!!! Set up a reward (non food of course) for yourself for when you reach your goal. In fact, set up goals to your goal. Example: if your goal is to lose 30 pounds, reward yourself for losing the first five (like buy that DVD you've been wanting), and another for ten pounds, etc...and if you slip up, you have to give up the prize until you obtain the subgoal again. You can do this, you can lose the weight and get trimmer. It takes time and time and time and dedication. You may not see it right away, but don't be shocked if someone you haven't seen in a while notices. Nothing happens overnight when it comes to losing weight or getting into shape.

Remind yourself that just because you can not see the results that doesn't mean that your body isn't becoming healthier. Maybe the intangible results are worth it by themselves.

One of the greatest difficult tasks is to motivate you for weight loss. After one month around, you start your enthusiasm in your weight loss and fitness program. I have learned few things that that has helped me to be motivating towards the fitness program and get my weight loss goal. I think these tips will also helps you as well to loose weight and keep motivated towards various weight loss and fitness programs.
* Once you have started your weight loss program, its a great idea to weigh yourself only once a week. If you keep on weigh everyday, you will only discourage yourself. If you weigh yourself only once a week, you will be able to analyses whether you need to make change to your existing routine or not.
* Keep a photo of a heavier version of yourself in plain view. This will keep be motivating how great you look after loosing weight than you were before loosing extra pounds. It will also prevent you from sliding back into old habits.
* Once you have achieved your weigh loss goals, and then imagine what you want yourself to look like. This will give you the motivation to keep the weight off.
* Keep setting higher and higher goals for you towards your fitness. If you do not set new goal for you and work to achieve them, then you will surely run in to our bed habit. As a result, you will not be able to keep the weight off. So it’s a great idea to keep on setting new goals and get in perfect shape. As you know it’s a really tough task to keep what you have achieved than what you are looking for.
These are some of ideas that keep me motivated towards my weight loss and fitness program. There may be many more reasons for you to motivate yourself to loose weight.
