This isn't totally software engineering, but it was my former major and it had a data base design, web administration and a decent amount of object orientated programming. I'm currently attending UW-Wisconsin Whitewater. A small campus but the program MCS Management of Computer System's has been ranked several times by AITP (Association of Information Technology Professionals) as number one campus in North America.

Texas Tech University in Lubbock has a fine computer science department. You should look at the ttu website and/or contact them directly for requirements because they have changed considerably since my husband and I attended. Lubbock (pop. a little over 200,000) has a lower cost of living than Austin, Houston or the DFW area but it has more "big city" amenities than San Angelo (Angelo State) or Stephenville (Tarleton State).
