Ok relax. I'm not insulting you! BUT...I mean you got people going from door to door trying to convert people. You got "Worship Jamz" being sold on t.v. It just seems that Christians just keep trying to force theri religion on everyone while degrading other religions. Just let people believe what they want! For all we know...they could be right and you could be wrong. Just want to know you feelings on the subject.

Look, I'm a Christian, and I take issue with the so-called followers of Christ who bash other religions or certain groups like homosexuals. We are NOT supposed to force our religion on anyone. The Bible makes it clear that our job is simply to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with any who will listen. We are not supposed to employ any strong-arm tactics, nor are we to lay some kind of guilt-trip on people. We simply "plant the seed" of Christianity by sharing it with others. Not everyone will believe, and that's OK. It's not our job to MAKE people believe. We pass on what we know from the Bible and then let each individual make their own choice. Period.

There are other religions that try and sell or force. I never do that and I have only had "Jehovah Witnesses" at my door. I'm not putting them or any ones belief down either. I feel everyone has a right to believe what they feel comfortable with.

Many Christians "push" their beliefs upon others for various reasons. Some feel it is an imperative and command from God to share their faith with others. Many feel a sense about what stakes are at risk and do not want it to be held against them that they didn't warn or seek to warn as many as possible. Many know what a change Christ has made in their own lives and just want to share that with others. Many do not mean to force or associate their testimony or witness with negative connotations but to a non-believer it always appears that way and that they are saying they are better than someone else. Christ Himself dealt with humanity more with questions than with statements. You are correct in saying that it is your decision. I, as a believing Christian, know that God draws people unto Himself using many methods and people are just one of those methods. God's Spirit must enlighten a person to understand spiritual things and a seeking person that looks can find. Jesus questions allowed people to come to realization within their own lives as to their needs and then the answers were there in front of them and known to them. People though are human and make judgments and make mistakes but most are certainly in love. As to why people do it? There are more answers and reasons than I could list here but do not let a human/man influence you or come between your own curiosity and questions and seeking of truth by perceived negative effects or results. Seek honestly your answers to the questions we all have but discount not the motives of people who have discovered a change worth telling about.

All of them do. All religions. Or at least, all the major ones. Just, in the US, Christianity is the more prominent. Al Qaeda, a prominent Muslim organization (ahem) uses violence, if you hadn't noticed. I hope nobody bites your head off for it, because that's happened to me too often, but this really was a kind of rude question. Not all Christians are like that, either.

Christians don't go door to door selling Christianity...That would be Jehovah Witness...

As for things being sold on TV...People are always out to make a buck...Using any method they can...Religion is not safe from this abuse anymore than any other 'institution' or belief....If they claim to be Christians and are selling religion...Rest assured....They are not Christians....!

Yesterday I asked the question, how can someone forced their religion on you? Here is the link:

As I stated there no one can force anything on you that you don't allow. Don't buy the CD, tell them to get off your door step. You have the chose to listen to it or not. We were ordered to be "fishers of men" so yeah we are going to attempt to convert you but if you don't want to convert there is nothing we can and the average person will leave you alone at that point they not going to force you.

Your question is understandable. This world is full of allot of this.... I do know however that going door to door is what Jesus tough when he did the same. He went about teaching all that God commanded and he was blessed for it... Selling books ? I am not sure whats that all about but I do know that books cost money and some one has to pay for them. I admire those who come to My door out of love to teach me. They come at the right moment. I receive magazines and I donate. That's all it is a donation. What is the truth worth to me ? Everything. Thats just my oppinion.... And I do have to agree with you about the tv part. I turn it off.

Don't be fooled...it is all about money. The more members a church has, the more money it can collect for the ministers...nothing mysterious here. The congregation is sold a bill of goods that their way is the only way, and it is their duty to save as many as they can. In reality, it boils down to old fashioned greed by someone, somewhere...count on it.
