The Levite priests (who held a lot of power) were afraid of losing their power to Jesus, who was gaining more and more popularity each day. They themselves could not persecute Jesus per Roman law. The Romans under Cesar Augustus controlled this part of the world at that time.
So, the Levite priests arranged to have Jesus brought before the Roman court with charges that he was a threat to the Roman government by claiming to be King of the Jews.
Pontious Pilate was the Roman governor in charge. He didn't agree. He sent Jesus to Herod, who was the Roman governor in charge of Galilee (where Jesus lived). Herod didn't think Jesus was guilty either and sent him back to Pilate.
Instead of letting Jesus go as a free man, Pilate let the people decide between crucifying (the common method of death penalty by the Romans) Jesus or a murderer named Barabbas. The crowd decided to crucify Jesus.

Follow this, It is kinda hard.
Know who the Kenites are. The kenites served in the temple of the Jews.
Rome worshiped many gods at the time and Cesar was a god.
If Christ was saying his kingdom was on the earth he would be blaspheming Cesar punishable by death. But he said his kingdom was not of this earth, no real conflict yet the point could be stretched as a efferent to Cesar, punishable by death.
Pontius Pilate was in a way between the rock and the hard spot. If this gets back to Rome I'll be crucified.
It's this man Jesus or ME.
Pontius Pilate tried everything he could think of the free Jesus but the Kenites screamed for Christs death.
If Pontius Pilate let Christ go free he would most certainly lose his life.

Jesus was crucified because God the Father had predestined it to take place. (Acts 4:27-28). This action was physically carried out by Roman soldiers and it was the most gruesome death they could imagine at the time. It was reserved for murderers, rapists, etc...However, it was first the Jews who initiated the fact that they wanted him crucified. Pontius Pilate did not want to do this. He was swayed by public opinion so he sentenced Jesus to death. Humans meant evil by this act, but God meant it, yes the same it, for good. Crucifying the Son of God was the most evil event that has or will ever happen. But it was ordained by God to happen in order that many people could be saved.

Jesus was the son of the last king of Babel, and thus, if he would have been a political minded person could have destroyed all of Rome by uniting all the people that Rome had oppressed.
Instead, he was a hippy and just kind of roamed around, so the Romans kept making things illegal that he liked to do, trying to catch him and legally punish him.
Finally they did, and a few years after his death Constantine couldn't handle the pressure from all the thousands of people that said it was an inpolitcally correct move. So he decided to honor the death, and make Christianity the legal religion of the Romans.
Fun stuff.

He was sentenced to it for "behavior likely to cause a breach of the peace" by the Romans. Why? Because Nero liked to have things his way, and some religious dude walking around and inciting unrest was not his way.
By the way, it's "crucified". And the Romans were (let's think about it, now) Roman. That's their religion. Saturn and Mercury and Venus? Ring a bell?

Crucifixion was a common form of torture for the Romans. Even common criminals were tortured in this way. The fact that a cross was used is really not significant other than the fact that it is a symbol that Christians have adopted to represent their faith.

Jesus was suppose to be crucified. He knew he was going to be. It was his purpose to be crucified for our sins, and then he rose from the dead after three days.
It was the government at the time that performed the task. it is irrelevant who did it, it was suppose to happen and did. and he did rise from the dead and rose to heaven.
it really happened.

Jesus said, "no one takes my life from me, I give it freely."
God gave His Son to die for our sins.
To answer your question, we all caused the Crucifixion of Jesus, because of our sins.
