If he did not accept Christ ,then yes. What breaks my heart about that is that he was a good guy. He did a lot of good for the world and that is what hurts me the most

Good Question, Tuff Question!
As I am to understand it, Christ did go to hell to teach for 3 days. and many that waited for him were saved.
Now I see no reason why when one as Gandhi, could not be presented the truth at death, would not accept it.
God is more than fair!
BUT:
Let us go with the letter of the LAW, He did not during life accept, and as some say, send him to hell!
Hell is not punishment, it is not Judgment! it is only a place where the souls that are likely to die wait judgment. Fine Gandhi is there OK!
There is a 2nd resurrection, when hell (Except [maybe] a few who are to be damned) are brought out to live again during the 1000 years when Christ is KING over the living and the dead.
Gandhi will be here (doesn't matter if he went to heaven or hell)
During this 1000 years many from hell will come to Christ (how hard will it be for Gandhi?)
At the end (I skipped a lot) all will be judged then.
Those that are found wanting will be thrown into the lake of fire.
The Lake Of Fire is Death. one thrown there will die, fade to black, be no more, gone, blotted out!
Who could believe that Gandhi would be one of them?

Tricky question. If he was a really good person then I think he is in heaven. The reason is this: Even though Christians believe that the only way to heaven is to believe in Jesus Christ, there definitely is a verse somewhere (unfortunately I forgot where, but it's in at least one of the four Gospels) that is about God judging those people after the Resurrection, who haven't heard of Jesus or somehow didn't have the chance to accept Him, according to their deeds. But if Gandhi did have that choice and rejected Him, then I believe that he is in hell now. Why would you go to heaven if you don't want to be with God?

Good question !! I get what you are getting at.
My personal belief is somewhat different though. Gandhi could be in hell. He was a great guy but he did some great blunders too. Gandhi is primarily responsible for the partition of India and Pakistan which has killed thousands of civilians during then and resulted in 3 wars and millions of instances of bloodshed that still continues. Gandhi is also blamed for trying to run a totalitarian politics and using unfair means to perevent Other notable leaders to rise in power during the Indian Freedom Struggle.
I wouldn't be surprised if he is in hell.
I would choose a differnt person for your question like Buddha perhaps or other Non Christian benevolent people.

Well it's impossible to say. I mean heaven and hell aren't like nightclubs where as long as you have cool clothes you can get in. The whole idea is that God knows us all inside and out. I've never met Gandhi. I've never seen the role sheet for hell. Basically, if you're asking Christians to tell you whether or not someone's in hell, then you're either going to get a lot of Christians who think they are God, or a lot of people who don't really know much about their religion. All I can say is that I think God would never make a mistake. That's all I need to know.

We don't know because Hell doesn't exist yet. When people die they go to "Paradise" where they wait for the day of judgement where people who follow Christ are judged first and those that refuse second. It is not for us to know what God will decide with Gandhi, perhaps it will be up to Gandhi. What will Gandhi choose?

I don't think that Gandhi is in Hell, but if he is, he's probably on a very high level.Galations 6:7 says:"Be not deceived;God is not mocked; for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."
Gandhi did a tremendous amount of good for humanity, so he must be reaping something good for a reward.

No, I don't believe Gandhi is in hell. God forgives. God loves and so did Gandhi. I think God made him in his image just like the rest of us. Sometimes people are not given the knowledge of God, that doesn't mean they are sinners and condemned to hell. Because you say "Christ" I have to ask if you believe all Jews are condemned to hell?

How could a great man like him not be in heaven? I don't believe in christianity or anything but if I'm wrong that's fine, but if Gandhi was wrong god better make an exception for this guy, he was one of the greatest humans ever to walk the earth.

Jesus dint come to earth to declare that he had paid for all ur sins and all u could do is to easily have self belief in him to get to heaven. He got here to earth to evangelise ppl the thank you to stay. he taught ppl to love, to be forgiving, to be beneficiant , to no longer carry anger at their coronary heart., and maximum necessary to no longer be judgmental (pertinent to this question ) and soo many greater issues. The essence of Jesus's teachings substitute into to the thank you to stay a life and not purely to have self belief in him. however no longer a Christ believer, Gandhi substitute right into a appropriate eg. of a guy or woman who observed Jesus's teachings. He lived as an eg. and confirmed the international, how love works. He substitute into no baby-kisser, or a non secular preacher yet a guy who had moved a rustic, a guy who shook the british empire, somebody who inspired the international. he confirmed in modern-day cases what non violence and love is able to doing. You dont could be a Christian or a jesus believer to circulate to heaven. Its what you're and what you do.. i'm useful Jesus could have been happy with what Gandhi confirmed the international. no one has been a greater perfect eg. of his own teachings than gandhi in modern-day cases. i think of Gandhi could be in heaven. back its as much as god. :)

Who says that one must accept Christ in order to enter Heaven?
Didn't Christ himself say that the greatest commandment is to "Love one another as I have loved you"?
Now, if you believe that Gandhi did that, then the answer is obvious.
