Doesn't matter as long as the other person calls when they say they're going to call .... plain out rude to take a number and not call ... unless it's lost or you forget .... haha .... !
So I say .... BOTH .... whoever is up for asking at the time .... if the lady seems like she doesn't want to give her number out then go for it and give her your number ... if she gives you her number you better be callin' if you want some @ss from her in the future ... !

I come from a southern raising and it was very hard for me to give my number out, even up to 2004. I realize that its 2006 and girls give out their numbers , but that could be why guys are so lame today, girls do all the work and don't make the guys sweat a little to get the girl. Guys still love the chase ( it's an innate thing with males)..the girls just don't give them the chance.

ok since its 2006, both should flip a coin and depending on where it lands he or she should call the other. After that it's a rotation of who calls. On a date it should be always seperate checks. Everything will be seperate since it's 2006 and remember you better find a good job cause if he has a good job it's only fair cause its 2006. when you have sex, he should be on top only half of the time cause it's fair and its 2006.......
