Sounds like it is time to get back into therapy, inpatient treatment and/or med changes. Situation won't get better on its own.

Hi, 39 yr old with bi-polar and bi-personality order. I was on Paxil and I had trouble with it. All these antidepressants take time to take to your system, at least two years. If you feel yours isn't working well, ask for another choice, there are many. I am On Lexapro and it is the best for me . I've tried others. I can be a real disaster and my poor husband has been to hell and back with me. On Paxil I had a Psychotic episode and did two weeks in a mental ward. I have been messed up all my life but was not diagnosed until 1999. I am now balancing out. I am not perfect can't seem to work with people as a group, so I stay home now and keep busy and keep myself on an even keel. You need to reduce stress as much as possible and get rid of caffeine. Water drink plenty, get protein in your diet, if your not getting enough you aren't thinking straight and hunger makes us angry. You may need to focus on what it is that is behind your outbursts. Fear sounds like what may be there? Focus on the love between you, learn and give forgiveness. We have been together for 11 yrs. Married 5.He married me after the episode.

I know how you feel. I have ruined a very good relationship because of my depression.

It sounds as if your wife is very understanding. Please show her the question you posted so she knows how you feel about her.

Paxil did not help me, but everyone is different with medication. Please keep trying. It is worth it.

Good luck and God bless you and your wife.
