I beg to differ... I had no sense of religion in my life as a child, confirmed and proved by my parents saying so... It was inherent in my heart. It may not be true, but I do believe it and until someone can SHOW me otherwise. I chose to believe I was born with the "feeling" (rather than the knowing as you put it.) That God was alive as a force, an effect, alive and conscience in my little section of the universe. From the time I could put thought together and form sentences, I knew there was a God force. I can't say I knew Jesus... but I always knew there was a God. Something other than myself within myself.

I do think children are born believers. . Why else would Jesus say come to me as a child. I see God so much in my grandchild. She walks with the Lord, and no one will ever convince me any different.
I don't believe just as my parents taught me. They set me in a firm knowledge of the word, but as an adult, it was for me to read and have Holy Spirit knowledge and truth for my own. Not to just know what my parents taught me. But to have truth on my own.
Bring up a child in the truth, and when he is grown he will not depart from it.
And I didn't.

I would say one thing that has deepened my faith is when my prayers are answered. There are occasions when I specifically prayed for something, and the only way to explain the answer is that it came from God.
My faith is also strengthened by my extensive study of the Bible. I don't just take what people say as truth, I explore it and find out for myself.

Personal study of the Bible, personal prayer, research, questioning other people, and applying what the Bible teaches in my own personal life is what has, and is still helping me. I think one of the biggest things that help me see what the Bible teaches is truth is the personal application of it. (Psalms 34:8) Until you do that, you will never truly understand what the Bible is talking about, nor will you truly understand the importance of following it. Jehovah God is not fictional, nor is He a liar, His word is truth, and what He says will happen, happens. (Isaiah 55:11 and Galatian 6:7) Prayer is also one the biggest ways to draw close to God, as it is communication with Him. If we display a sincere and humble approach with Him, He will be more than happy to help us have the faith in Him that we need. Please see the link below, it will help answer your questions.

Faith come from one source and that is the Word of God. Romans 10: 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Faith in what the Lord Jesus Christ did for you on the cross is all you need to into God's heaven. Ephesians 2: 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

my faith came from my life experiences and my idea that certain values in life can never hurt. my parents pretty much never told me nothing about my religion when i was a child, mostly because i didnt realize it was religion and they were trying to make me "believe" something. I follow my own philosophies because it always gives me hope, not exactly a miracle, but hope and just a sense of happiness and that everythings going fine.

Yes, a very personal experience convinced me that Jesus is real. From that small seed of believing in someone I could not see or sense (faith) my trust in Jesus has grown considerably and is still growing through the process of repeated personal experiences, both large and small enjoyable and traumatic.

Yes, every child is born without a religion. And most of the ppl follow their religion only becuase that wz the only 1 they wr taught . But fortunately some ppl do explore and look for the religion that ud quench their thirst for the truth. Thatz precisely why we ve converts, isnt it?

No my parents didn't tell me god was real when i was little we only went to church on easter. i became a believer b/ my mom used to be a drug adict. She was facing 15 years prison scentance. Her 4th time being caught up on charges. my mom prayed for like the first time in years. The judge let my mom bond out to rehab. But when her time was done there she had to go back to county jail. She began to attend to church she was baptized. I began to see the changes in her. So i began to go to church and pick up on the word of god. B/ i was very far from being called christan. Thanfully with gods help she didnt go back to jail she came home w/ a 20 year back up. Now she thanks to god has over a year clean. And is in the best shape of her life we are no where near perfect. but we try thats how i became christan not b/ someone told me god was real or forced me to b/ I seen him work a miricle.
