I mean, if God made man in his image, why would there be men with different features? Furthermore, why would God even bother making so many different varieties of man, and even if he did, why would he separate them geographically for thousands of years. Wouldn't he mix us all together in the same communities?

Doesn't it make more sense that we evolved as humans according to the geographic regions in which we lived?

Doesn't the existence of different races contradict creationism?
(The Human Race is the only race with many ethnicities)
I mean, if God made man in his (spiritual) image, why would there be men with different features (why are there so many different animals?) ? Furthermore, why would God even bother making so many different varieties of man (humans live in different places, they are made to survive where they are born), and even if he did, why would he separate them geographically for thousands of years (migration). Wouldn't he mix us all together in the same communities (What planet are you on)?

Doesn't it make more sense that we evolved (what told you to evolve?) as humans according to the geographic regions in which we lived

Gen.11
[1] And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.
[2] And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.
[3] And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
[4] And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
[5] And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
[6] And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
[7] Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.
[8] So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.
[9] Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

Being "made in God's image" has little to do with our physical appearance. It is rather about our having been endowed with an immortal spirit and created in righteousness.

I think everyone believes in micro-evolution (which is what you are describing). The different features of humans is a natural result of our genetic code. That is far different than accepting evolution on a macro level...

Micro-evolution deals with the adaptations and changes within a species. Macro-evolution involves the addition of new traits (i.e.- the creation of new genetic code enabling a transition) into a new species.

Micro-evolution is an accepted fact, and is observable throughout nature. Macro-evolution is simply a theory, and it has never been observed in science.

That is not evolution, that is adaptation. We do adapt to our environment.
Such as when soot was covering England, all they ever had was black moths. Many years later when they cleaned up the cities noticed that white and other colored moths began to appear.
The black soot camouflaged the black moths so they survived.
However, well adapted a person is to his climate and location.
He is still a human made by a creator.
The moth was still originally made by a creator.
Where the short horn ram in Africa thrived and multiplied there was giraffes that they said survived because of a long neck.
Yet there was zebras, rams, goats that didn't have long necks.
Evolution is not an exact science.

The only description of God that we have is as a "Creator" as such, that is what we are supposed to be as well.

I'm with you on the Evolution thing but I think God or a power that is, had a hand in it all.

Isn't it wonderful that today we have a mix of people from all over? We might be becoming "one people" after all.

Evolution is fascinating.

I totally see your point. Although some scientist believe the different races came from a single point of origin, like a fist race, when they migrated across the planet, for reasons not determined, they evolved slightly to the environment that they decided to settle down in.

NOPE! DNA proves we are all from the same couple!
~~~~~~~~
All the people on this planet Earth are descendants from the first couple -
Adam and Eve. We are ALL just shades of that same colour !
Hold a sheet of Real White and Real Black paper up against your skin.
I can tell you "for certain" that your skin colour matches neither of these
paper colour samples. We are all "off white - or - BROWN !
WE ARE ALL OF THE SAME COLOUR because we are all indeed
descendants of that couple. Because of protective pigmentation we
are of different shades indeed.
What a beautiful example of how OUR MAKER designed us and built
a protective system into our skins to protect us from the suns rays !
Few people realize that The Bible does not say anything in opposition to
what is referred to as "mixed marriages". This is precisely why.
If "mixed marriages" do not work in our society, as it is today, it is because
of the arrogance of man. To "prove" superiority they often use gross
misinterpretations of Bible passages or misapply a Bible passage to
make it look like it proves them correct.
an image is a likeness of the original - not an exact replication. i guess u could look at it similarly to identical twins - they look very much the same, but u can still see differences.
also, according to what you say, we'd all look exactly alike, and women would look like men too, then there wouldnt be ANY races, just a repitition of one person - and that would just be boring =P
i am not a religious person, however what makes you think that when we were created in his image, it would be so specific? the last i knew all races walked upright on two legs, had two eyes, one nose, one mouth, two ears, two arms and two legs. what makes you think that is not enough? did it specify anywhere that that included color? or the shape and size of the nose? forehead? eyes? lips?
Nothing contradicts creationism - By which I mean any and all possible worlds can be explained by three simple words: "God did it". That's why it's invalid, of course...
