First, you are proceeding from a false assumption. Nowhere does it say that those who haven't heard the Gospel go to heaven. On the contrary:

"For all who have sinned apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law." (Romans 2:12)

And we preach the Gospel because we were commanded to do so:

"Therefore, as you go, disciple all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you each and every day until the end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20)

We are merely being obedient to our Master. Because we received the commission from Him, no one else can order us to stop. Many have tried, and failed miserably.

For example,Voltaire, the noted French infidel who died in 1778, said that in one hundred years from his time Christianity would be swept from existence and passed into history. But what has happened? Voltaire has passed into history; while the circulation of the Bible continues to increase in almost all parts of the world, carrying blessing wherever it goes."

Concerning Voltaire, only fifty years after his death, the Geneva Bible Society used his press and house to produce stacks of Bibles...

Interesting question and a legitimate one to ask. It is difficult to know what a person knows or accepts in their lifetime and being a believer I believe and accept that man/human will, from an internal thirst of their internal spirit, seek out answers to who they are an where they came from and is there more? I think that everyone reaches a point of decision where they make decisions about who God is and even early Christians and believers were told to take the Gospel into all the world. People in far remote places that haven't heard the gospel still worship God or (a God) and I still believe that God's truth will reach them. The bigger question is for those that have heard what decision have they made about what they have heard?

Who says that? Look in Romans chapter 10. Read the whole chapter, and if you believe the Bible, then you understand fully. God has given us His Word, that we may live for Him and not for ourselves. That's what His plan was when He created Adam. Those who have not heard the gospel does not mean that they are free from going to hell. ANYONE, who does not believe and admit he/she is a sinner will go to hell. But, if you see in chapter 10, there is also the good news. Go ahead and read it. You can't believe what people say, but God's word is infallible.

Because we're commanded to "Go ye out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in." The need for a relationship with God is "written upon the tables of thy heart" as the Scripture says, therefore the need for the ministry exists. "How can they hear without a preacher?" is a question asked in the Bible about the witness of jesus Christ going out into the world. Since we're all born to sin and ignorance even as far as our consciousness is concerned is no excuse, there is a need to "Preach the Word, be instant in season, out of season, reprove, rebuke, and reproach above all longsuffering."

As a Christian, I believe that only God knows their fate. We are simply not in a position to make a of determination of what awaits them in eternity. If God appeared before you how would you respond? Some would humbly bow before him, others would continue to reject him. Personally, I believe that God knows which people would accept/serve him -- and he knows which people would reject him.

The Apostle John wrote that his message was written "so that you may KNOW...". Faith in Jesus Christ means I don't have to speculate on where I stand with God. I know that I am accepted by Him via faith. While I cannot say that those who never heard the message are lost, the Apostles wouldn't have risked life and limb in sharing the Gospel if there were "other ways to be saved". Bottom line: its better to know "where you stand with God" than to simply aimlessly live out this short life. Those who have heard the message, and continue to reject him, have declared their desire to be apart from him in eternity...

Because at some point in their life they need to hear and accept the truth.
John 5:28 says that there will be a resurrection of both the good and the bad. The bad is people who have never had a chance to serve God. Maybe they were raised Muslim and never heard about Jesus. When the earth is made into a paradise and all are resurrected they will learn about Jesus. and then they will be judged by what they do after that.

That's exactly the same question I asked my parents numerous times as a child! I remember telling my parents, "If some remote tribe in a remote part of the world never heard about Jesus, why send missionaries to tell them? Now you've doomed them to hell if they decide Christianity isn't right for them. That's sooo mean!"

Now I'm agnostic (no longer Christian). To me, the path you take doesn't matter, it's whether or not you are a decent person and how you treat people in life.

People who don't have Jesus go to hell. Thats why we tell them who Jesus is and what He did for us.

If you haven't heard the gospel, you will eventually. The Bible says that if man stays quiet, then the very rocks will cry out. Everyone will hear it no matter what. There are no excuses.

B/c that is what we are supposed to do, preach the news to all the inhabited earth. That is what Jesus did while he was on Earth. And God will not accept the excuse, "I didn't know!" Even the Bible says that in the end, all WILL know God's name, and they WILL make their decision of who they want to serve. And by not making a stand for either side, you are making the decision to be on the side of Satan.
