In english, nope is another form of no - a slang term
nope can also stand for:
Not On Planet Earth, meaning something should not exist.

It is the slang for "no", however it has a more strong meaning for me.
Want to go to the store?
No. (Could also say "neh")
Have you seen her?
No.
Want to come with me?
Nope.
For me, saying "nope", although slang, is more affirmative. Absolutely not, no question, nope. It's very blunt.
I tihnk it's because it starts and ends with a hard sounding letter that it makes it more affirmative that the answer is no. I guess it depends on how you say "no" though. "NO!" would be better than "nope".

"Nope" is a synonym of "no" similar to how "yep" is a synonym of "yes." It's mostly prevelant in English, though I'm not sure why.

It's an informal use of the word "NO".
Probably a shortened version of the phrase "No Problem"
