The bible says that every sin that you have committed was a strip, a beat, a humiliation, a spit in his face, a hit, a torn in his head, and a tear from his eye and a shadder of his heart. But yet he went through all of this so you who do not deserve it could still make it into heaven by Gods grace.

Well, be sure and tell Him I apologize for that. I must have been drunk again.

Well, that is not exactly what it says. It is talking about sin concsiousness. If you THINK you are sinning, then does Jesus still have to keep on being crucified? If he has abolished sin and fulfilled the law then why do we still think that we can sin? Sin does not exist anymore. You are demeaning the work of the cross.

There is nothing you can do to seperate yourself from God. Jesus made it that way and thinking that your belief or your actions is going to change their decision - well is self righteous and arrogant.

Just as Adam imputed sin to the world without your choice, Jesus imputed grace to the world without your choice.

All that talk about law and belief was before His death. Before the new promise.

Paul and the apostles did not agree. The apostles mixed Judiasm into their teachings and still held animal sacrafices. Paul was taught by Jesus under the New Covenant. He had a better understanding of the spiritual oneness of the world.

We are all born into sin and therefore sinners that part is correct and that inheritance continues throughout history and future time. The Bible speaks in figurative language many places and what you cited in essence is true that each sin we and everyone else commits was responsible for Christ having to endure the cross and sacrifice. God being Just provided that way of escape of certain judgment of Sin. The real question is what people will do with their faith. Your statement is more a pronouncement of appreciation or how we should be appreciative of what he endured on behalf of every one past, present and future.

That is one of the most foolish things I've ever heard besides people still blaming Jews for Jesus death (which is ultra stupid).

The news is - Jesus died and was resurrected around 2000 years ago! I am so certain that neither you nor I nor anyone else alive today was there at that time to even voice an opinion for or against crucifying Jesus.

So no - No one alive today killed Jesus nor acquiescent to his death - although there are some people who would be I supposed.

We ALL have sinned - that is undeniable. Even good people can sin and have. Salvation through Jesus needs to be accepted to avoid having hell as their holding cell.

You are seriously radical and jumping to conclusions which, in fact, will not stand up in the light of day. Yes, we are all sinful and Jesus died for all sins but to say that we killed him is just wrong. In the first place, none of us had even been born yet. We inherited sin from Adam and thus we have to die yet we can also claim Jesus as our father and live if we practice what we believe ourselves. Hell Fire is an absolute lie and Jesus did not teach it and God, himself, said it NEVER came up into his heart to do such a thing as burn his children alive in fire. Read the Bible for yourself and quit looking to others to interpret it. God interprets scripture with other scriptures. Study and pray for God's holy spirit to help you understand.

Now this just does not makes sense.

The Bible Says God is all powerful and all knowing. right?

It also says that God had to send his son to save us from our sins. Right?

Well since he is all powerful and all knowing he knew we were going to mess it up from the beginning. ( He basically set us up)

So he sends his son to sort it all out. ( Making us rely on him and then feel guilty about him having to die for us)

Think about that. If he really was all powerful and all knowing then why does he have to use fear and guilt to "make" us believe?

Not my idea of a God. More like a great big pitty party.

Oh please you're so pathetic. Everybody knows what is good/wrong, we all choose what we want. Don't behave good because of fear of hell. If you are a good person good things will happen to u, please don't be so naive of not doing wrong things because u think you'll be punished and burn in hell. Have your own criticism and opinions about the world. Have strong arguments from not doing bad things. There are much more important things in this world for behaving good!!!!!! And if your are worried about going to heaven..... guess what behave as much natural and as much human as u can that's the only way up whether is heaven or not.

A friend of mine from long ago had bumper stickers made up that said: "Jesus died for your sins. Make it worth his while."

As for me, that focus on guilt, shame and martyrdom is why I left the Church. Every harmful or hurtful thing I've ever done was a mistake that I made and learned from. There is no need to add such gratuitous shame to it.

EXACTLY!!! So he died and now I'm an atheist so I get to live life to the fullest and have premarital sex, and get drunk on new years eve, and make fun of people and not say any prayers and even if I'm wrong, who cares? I'm still guaranteed a ticket into heaven. This is the greatest religion ever! You do all my praying for me and I'll go out and sleep with your sister.

By that logic I could claim you're responsible for my debts and you better pay up now or else.

(Come to think of it, if you've had any kind of public assistance then you *are* responsible for part of my debt.)

Face it lady, there's no possible way any person living today could be even remotely responsible for what may or may not have been done to a person who may or may not have existed over 2000 years ago. It is exactly this kind of self-serving, utterly irrational, openly cynical metaphysical claim that gives religion such a bad name.

You are ssoooo wrong it's boggles the mind. Read your scripture more carefully and get it right. The Pharasees and Romans Killed Him about 2000 years ago. Now if you want to declare that we, through sin, are harming Him today then fine, but please stop with the pseudo Christo-Nazi hyperbole, it is getting quite nauseating.
