Sorry, no magic here -- use up more calories that you take in. Diet and exercise. Quit the snacking while you study. Eat things with less calories --

Its really simple theory, only it requires will power.
Essentially you have to calculate your daily requirement of caloires and just it fewer that that. For example: I weigh 180lbs, thus my caloric intake is roughly 1800-2000 calories a day. To lose weight i would eat between 1600-1900 a day. At that rate i would be losing about a pound or two a month. That is not alot, but if you did do cardio you could burn an extra 400-800 calories a day and increase the amount of weight lost form 2lbs a month to 8lbs a month (which is the safest you can lose, that and if you lose too much to fast your body produces strech marks and excess skin).
Make sure you eat lean meats and complex carbs.
Good Luck and May you have strong will power
ps below is a site with a calcoric intake calculator
pps there are 3500 calories in a lb, not 1500 :S

Exercise needs to only consist of 30 mintues a day 3-5 days a week. You can do so many things during your typical day to help you burn calories which in turn helps you lose weight. Try parking farther away from the store, classroom, your work space, etc. Make sure you take in plenty of water and eat a balanced diet.
Take 10 mintues 3 times a day to walk around the block or do some form of moving exercise and you will really be surprized at how quickly you will start to see results!
It's easy to do, you just have to get in the habit of making exercise a priority in your life.
You cannot have the body you want without working for it.
Good luck!

First, without knowing your weight I'd recommend caution about loosing anything. You can check your BMI (google: BMI calculator) to see what the average weight for your height is. Second, some exercise is necessary to safely loose weight. If you just use a treadmill for 30-40 minutes 4-5 times a week that'll help. Also keep a watch on your calories, don't ever eat less than 1200 but you can moderate it. Soyouwanna.com has a good article on how to safely loose weight. Good luck and good health!

Hi
This is the best programme which I could incorporate into my schedule so here goes,
If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx
Good Luck

hmmn, i wouldnt eat half the food as usual, cos when you eat it all again, you will puff up like a big balloon.
Firstly, you should eat the right types of food, dont go for these slimming world crap, or healthy eating stuff, its full of sugar instead of fat, you actually need some fat in your diet! The sugar is then stored in you as fat
Then, just walk places! i have lost about 1 1/2 stone by simply walking everywhere, ok it adds 20 mins or 30 mins here and there, but it works.
It is a simple equation, if you consume more calories than you eat, you will lose weight, this should be done as slowly as possible, or you will be like my mum, and on a diet for ever. as we get older, our metabolism changes and slows, you need to give it a kick start, eat breakfast every day (very important)
I have a very busy lifestyle too, but i ride my bike or walk evrywhere instaed of bus or car
good luck

weight loss tips
Today there is too much information available on losing weight that has become more confusing and sometimes difficult to follow. It’s actually very easy to lose weight if you follow my weight loss tips.
* Be in right frame of mind
Before you can start any diet program you need to be in the right frame of mind. If you do not feel good about yourself you probably will not want to choose healthy foods. You cannot expect the act of going on a diet to make you feel better about yourself. The only way you can choose to eat a healthy diet to lose weight is if you have a positive self-image.
* Eat whole food
Top weight loss tips
Eat whole foods that are as natural as possible. When you eat whole foods that are full of nutrients your body will know how much to eat and how much not to eat. You do not have to count calories because your body is a wonderful machine.
* Eat fresh fruit
Eat at least two servings of fresh fruit every day. Choose whatever type of fruit is in season.
* Drink enough water
Drink the best weight loss supplement known to man, water. Most people do not know the difference from being hungry for food or thirsty for water. A great deal of times people eat when they should drink. Most likely you will not feel as hungry if you are getting enough water. You will be satisfying the thirst, which is confused for hunger. Water also helps you digest food better. Drinking water before you eat will help fill you up.
* Always chew your food
Always chew your food well. Chewing your food well will ensure that you get the most nutrients out of your food. Getting the most nutrients will satisfy your body therefore you will eat less. Another benefit of chewing well is that it helps aid in digestion.
* Take small meals
Eat small, frequent meals in a day. Large meals tax your digestion system, making it work harder. Taking too much time in between meals makes you hungrier for the next meal.
* Include protein at meal
Include good sources of protein at meal, chicken, fish, legumes, peanut, cottage cheese, eggs or yogurt.
* Shut off TV while eating
Shut off the TV whenever you eat – that includes meals and snacks. Studies show that we automatically eat larger portions when we snack in front of the tube, and typically those foods are high in fat and sugar, which means excess calories!
* Increase your physical activity
Increase your physical activity. Most people are over weight because of a lack of physical activity. Start walking more, bicycling, walks your dog for longer periods of time, swim, dance and leave the car at home when you can. It’s important that you choose a physical activity that you enjoy because you’ll stick with it.
