go to your local hispanic butcher shop get your desired amount of carne asada, season the meat with all purpose seasoning, place in a plastic bag with about 2 limes worth of lime juice and marinate for 24 hours. cook on grill until meat is evenly browned, place carne asada in heated tortillas with pico de gallo and rice and beans on the side and a cold Corona to wash it all down and enjoy.

1/4 lb of meat per person is more than enough if your serving other things as well . Especially if your serving salad people tend to eat more of the salads and less meat . Most people don't eat a lot of carne asada just enough to make maybe 2 tacos its the side dishes that people enjoy more, meat is heavy and people tend to avoid eating something really heavy at a party it slows them down and makes them sleepy that's why they invented siestas . Salads are light and crisp and you don't get the full feeling, so go ahead girl throw some extra lettuce and some fresh seasonal fruits in a salad like pears or apples , even nectarines and some blackberry's, a few walnuts or glazed walnuts and get a nice raspberry vinaigrette and you'll be fine . there's nothing worse than left over dried carne asada . Its so thin even with under cooking it tends to get dried up. And Its always nice to have a few salads to offer

carne asada is just grilled beef. usually cooked over an open flame but many people/restaurants make it on an iron grill and it works fine. if you have a bbq just cook the meat over high heat. sear it on both sides and you're done. there's no sauce or anything that makes it carne asada. just however you like to season it. everyone makes it different anyway, only the cooking method remains similar.
