follow her, or follow the sound of the babies, usually they get very loud when they are hungry. If the mother is a friendly sort she should take you right to them, having someone else look after them while she gets food or whatever would be helpful to her in her kitty cat mind.
If you do find the kittens you might want to try to bring them and the mother inside, and spoil them rotten, and after a few weeks you can get her fixed (once the kittens are weaned). Also the more human contact the kittens have the more likely you'll be able to find homes for them.
You really should get her and all of your other outside cats fixed, that way you don't have this problem anymore.

I had an indoor/outdoor cat that had babies outside. I could not find them anywhere. After a few days, I decided that they must be dead or I would've found them by now.
One day as I was getting ready to go to work, I kept hearing meowing. I followed the sounds. I finally figured out it was coming from the attic.
I climbed up there and found 5 little kittens about to burn up alive. It was late August and 100% outside, you can imagine how hot it was in the attic.
I got them all out and wet them down with cool water. I went and found Mom. She came right in and started taking care of them.
She got in the attic from somewhere on top of the roof. If I had not found them when I did they all would've died and been stinking the whole house up.
They are all 2 years old now and doing just fine. I call them my attic babies. What made her find a way into the attic I'll never know.
My advice is keep looking!! Cats have a mind of their own and sometimes, who knows what they are thinking.

If you notice your momma kitty chilling in a peticular spot outside, they might be there. My kitty had her kittens outside, and i didn't know where they were. I noticed that my girl was chilling under the stairs, and I found them. If you know that the mom has a favorite spot they might be there as well.
Just be careful where you walk because baby kitties are very small. Also listen to see if you can hear them making noise. They're not all that quite once they start.
Good luck finding the babies.

cats are very good at hiding their babies when they feel they are not safe. You need to follow her with out her knowing it and see where they are. If you do not start handling them soon, you will have a bunch of wild kitties on your hands, and then you will never be able to catch them... Not a good thing

It's important not to frighten your cat, especially now.
It is important to "socialize" the kittens (carefully handling and petting them), but not at the expense of your mother-cat's mental health. She knows what she's doing, so don't stress her out.
