I'm not personally fond of really short hair on guys, but some guys look better with short hair. Its a personal preference, every girl has a different idea of whats best. I dont think hair length would be a deal breaker to most girls if they like you.

It's all merely a matter of personal preference. I have short hair and guys like it. And i prefer a man with short hair over a man with long hair because long hair tends to make guys look also girly.

If this was 1987 I'd say that long haired men/boys were so common, you might find a clean cut looking man more appealing.
However unfortunatley it's not 1987, and long hair is very rare amongst young men, especially caucasian men.
In my experiences, men with long hair these days are usually more profound, intelligent and sensitive(in a good way :).
As for the spiked look, define 'spiked?' Are we talking British punks from 1979 or EMO anime dorks?
Nothing is wrong with a man with short groomed hair.
If you want a proper answer, build a time machine and visit each decade and ask that question.

It kind of depends on the man. As a whole, I like the short hair, but some guys just have the personality to carry off a longer style of hair. Hair that's really long or hanging in your face is only cool if you're in a rock band.

I personally do not like long hair on guys. If it's braided or s short hair cut or a short curly hair it's cute. I hate the guys with a ponytail thing I've only seen a few guys that can pull it off and I still don't like it. But some girls love it. Personal preference.

Crew cut? Yuck, no. I like longer hair on men but only if they still HAVE all their hair. I would say a moderately long short-cut if that makes any sense.

of course in our family it's always been that guy's need
short, neat hair like a crew cut or something,
but personally I dig the just a little too long look ; )........

HECK YES! Short hair looks nice- neater, more professional, and (ahem) more sanitary. Long hair on guys always looks like they either spend WAY too much time thinking about how they look, or that they really don't care how they look, and don't even bother to cut it. Go with short.

XD Just kidding, it really depends. Some men look better with short hair, some with longer hair. And them I've seen some very hot guys who shaved their heads. It all depends on bone structure and a woman's tastes.

It depends, but I usually love longer hair on a guy. I want something that I can get my hands in, and I just can't do that with short hair.
