Both parties apply their fantasy of a perfect mate to their BF/GF.
Accepting faults and making compromises is the key to a long lasting relationship.
Honesty is very important, a lot of the perceived faults can easily be corrected with a little effort as long as they are talked about.
Communication is essential as Gals and Guys don't think alike and it is resonable to expect that your mate thinks excactly like you.

Some women expect alot and others expect nothing. As long as they will let me be me as I would let them be them then we could connect. I don't want some girl that is always dependent on me for everything. She has to be independent on her own and have some self esteem
