I am curious... and want to be prepared... What is practical to have in the trunk of your car. I live in South East Louisiana, and have a 2 year old son...

I take it that your question is regarding in case you have an emergency on the road.
-First aid kit
-Flash light
-Road side emergency kit( comes with flares, marker cones, )
-jumper cables
-Gallon of water
-couple qts. of oil
-coupel qts. of transmission fluid
-Spare serpintine belt
-car jack + Jack stand. ( incase you don't already have it.)
-spare tire ( incase you don't have that either.)
-Can of fix-a-flat
-Stroller ( Just in case you have to walk, you don't want to carry your son a long distance.)
-maybe some bottled water( Don't live in south east louisiana, don't know how populated the area is.)

A sawed off shotgun if your in South LA... lol Just some bottled water, jumper cables. It's not like you have harsh winters. Any other problems that could arise you would not be able to solve with a tool kit unless you know how to work on cars. Get AAA for like 30 bucks a year and rest easy.

Hmm.. Jumper Cables, Flashlight with new batteries + Extras. Blanket. 1 or 2 2 ltr bottles of water. Some sort of canned food and a can opener (not boxes because of animals and bugs..) Oh spare tire and jack are always good.

buy one of those first aid kits at walmart, a tire iron, a jack, baby wipes, jumping cables
