You can always get a perm at salon, along with that blow dry it always, if it can be at salon better, and flat ironing your hair works great if you do it wile your hair is wet using hair treatment. Here's how to do it. Buy salon professional hair care products such as Alter Ego, Salerm or those, that are good for chemically treated hair, use the hair treatmen they have and apply after shampoo, separate hair and start flat ironing it, for this purpose you should cover the iron with aluminum foil, once you are finnished, take it all out with lots of water adn continue to style as usual. take it from me, I live at a tropical country where there is humidity all the time and my hair is flat all the time

If your hair is naturally very curly there is no home remedy, they have these treatments that cost ridiculous amount of money & they will keep your hair strait, so you will have to keep on styling. BUT If your hair is wavy, or has the aggravating not curly but not strait thing going on...try a home straightner, you can get thwm at Walgreens. they work really well to keep your hair strait, but it is always good to blow dry and/or flat iron, it just gives hair a kept up, nice look instead of the I just woke up and brushed my hair thing! LOL!

there is this thing that they do at salons called relaxing your hair, it makes curly or wavey hair striaght. For about 3 weeks it will be stick straight then after the 3 weeks it gets on a little wave to it, it gets like if you naturally have straight hair like me, my hair only has a little *woosh* to it, and then it still looks very straight. Get this done 2 times a year and in like 2 years it wont wave after 3 weeks, but you still have to get it dont twice a year. A bit pricey but worth it (my friend gets it dont, she has like they frizzest curly-ist hair EVER)

there is this kind of straightening called thermal reconditioning or japanese straightening. it lasts until it grows out, so you dont have to get it done again for like a year to a year and a half when you can start to see your hair curling at your roots... and touch ups are cheaper. it really works, you can just air dry your hair and its straight. but depending on how long your hair is, it costs like 400 bucks and takes 6-8 hours. look online for places that do it... if you live near the city, i go to china town and get it done for really cheap.

There are shampoos on the market for that, as well as the blow dryer and flat brush.. sound least expensive then spending the money at a salon every couple of months.

use a brush when blowdrying,
rinse it with cold cold water and vinegar b4 u get out of the shower,
use mousses or frizz-ease syrum before you blowdry,
and if that stuff doesn't make your hair perfectly straight (which it wont), then ur gonna have to use a straightener....

I don't know much about this, but I have heard of people getting it straightened professionally. I heard it costs a few hundred dollars, but supposedly it lasts a year or something like that.
