I remember one of the nicest things my girls did for me on my 40th birthday was to give me a gift certificate to have the works done a facial, massage, nails, and a pedicure and the make it even more special we all did this as a group. My three daughters and I. I also had just broken up with my boyfriend.

I agree with Chaand-- Spend the day in the Spa together, how sweet will that be, not only does she get to spend time with you but she gets to be pampered! IDK how old u are and weather or not u can afford taking her there but u can surprise her in the morning with a tasty breakfast, nice balloons a card and flowers!
You can also re-create a spa at home- Do a bit of research here on facial masks and u can give her one, u can include other females in the family, ask ur aunts and cousins-- It can be fun!

Depending how old you are I'm sure you can't pay for a day at the spa or dinner. Make her breakfast in bed and clean the house or clean and wash her car. Get her a nice card. Good Luck and it is nice you are so thoughtful.

I agree with the other posters. A nice mom/daughter day at the spa would be nice for both of you-do the massage/manicure/facial thing, then get a nice meal afterwards. It's nice that your mom has such a thoughtful daughter!

First give her some coupons for hugs and kisses because she could use them now and thats free and sweet. Some more coupons for things you can do to help her out like housework and things like that. A nice dinner at a beautiful upscale restaurant would be a nice place to give them to her.

With that amount of stress a spa package is always great. A day of pampering does wonders.

first get a baby or toddler photo of her and have it scanned onto a cake...I did that once for my mom....it was precious and priceless. a spa day for the 2 of you is nice. but do try to do the cake, she will love it.
