You would think that if people had substantial grasp of things improving, and that big companies weren't just free to take everything these people have, then perhaps the incentive of "evil-doers" would diminish. Instead, it seems the harder America fights against it, the worse it gets. Where's it all heading?
Perhaps the planet will be very peaceful when there are no more human beings on it.
If the right wing is such devout Evangelicals...then why:
True Followers of Christ, would do what Jesus would do- turn the other cheek- let them crucify- (he could have fought, or ran away, but he didn't) Seems Americans can't follow his teachings- If we could, we would be as powerful example to the world. So as it stands, we come across as a vile hate-filled nation ruled by greed, and self indulgence.
I am sure God has a plan for people like this. Sorry, but even Islam acknowledges Christ as a true profit- I think America is doing a lousy job of being decent followers as many "claim" to be.

Thats capitalism... the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. It's not fair. But what other economic system is any more fair? Capitalism rewards greed, not just in America but anywhere it is followed. Americans just happened to be better at this in 20th century then everyone else. Go Team!

Only problem that other nations stereotyping americans fail to realize is that there are ALOT of americans who aren't part of that dream. Hunger, homelessness, low wage jobs, no health care, riding the bus. Every american isn't living or thinking or treated like the families on Dynasty and Beverly Hills 90210.

The moon is pretty pieceful, I understand. So is Mars. What is your point?

We are not monolithic in the US. Frankly, I consider that a good thing. If companies take everything everybody has, there is no one left to buy there crap. Keep in mind, the medium of exchange is paper. If people cannot buy, you cannot sell.

There are some checks and balances built into the system.

Mixing religion and finance in the same question is not helpful. Let me give you an example. In Iraq, the three factions are defined as Shiite, Sunni, and Kurd. Kurd is an ethnic group not a religion. What religion are they?

Greed America

Don't fool yourself, religion and greed have gone hand-in-hand for thousands of years. Plus I think you fail to see one point here: this country is currently being run by people who claim religion as their highest selling point. It's next to impossible to be elected to any office in America without professing some kind of religious belief (and 90% of the time that belief has to be Christianity). Our domestic policy is slowly being subsumed by those who feel the bible holds all the answers to life's questions.

each and every faith follows what they suspect. a lot of human beings follow their faith. there is not any information for any of them being the marvelous way-- the interpretations you agree for up there at the instant are not a similar ones I settle for, so why could I adhere to them? I follow what i unquestionably have faith to be the marvelous teachings. yet no longer each and every faith espouses the ideals you listed. no longer all religions are Christian, or perhaps Abrahamic faiths... why could a Pagan follow something you listed? That'd be like asking a Christian if he follows the Hindu Vedas.

American christianity is a virtual carbon-copy of the actions of biblical Pharisees, using religion as a tool to grab power and money.

The Pharisees, of course, were christ's enemies.

The teachings of religion and the addiction of greed are one in the same thing.

Omnimog,
Yes, that's the US. We all think the same. We all go to the same places at the same time. I will have to address the collective. The Hive of course all thinks the same, so I don't even have to say anything, they already know. And I know they know, and they know that I know they know. And They know that I know that they know that I know that they know,

That's the US.

Glad you have a grasp on how a society works.

Thank you.
