I lived in Saudi Arabia for about a year over 20 years ago and other than praying and social customs (dress, no women drivers, no women alone on the streets, etc), I really saw very little difference in their activities.
They seemed to be happy, polite, helpful and tolerant.
I never heard anyone complain about being Muslim although some did (very mildly) complain about the Saudi royal family.
The complaints generally centered around the royal family's lavish lifestyle more than anything else.

I am Islam and I feel soooo gooood. Sometime it is not hard enough to follow the rules and the rules prevent the existance of bad people and we live in peace. I love my Islamic Country so much.

Islam is about submission to God alone and living a righteous life. The Muslim life is based on being God conscious and take the life of the Last Prophet (pbuh) as an example on how to live. In order to be at peace you must submit, surrender, obey God in SENERITY. Meaning no one is forcing you to surrender to God you are doing it because you love God and want to acquire eternal paradise. Everything can be a good deed because all things are covered in the religion including how to eat, how to speak, how to wash yourself, how to pray, everything. It is amazing!!! That is why we say it is a way of life.
Allah (God in Arabic) said:
“O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honored of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you (Muttaqi). And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things).”
“[He] who has created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed …” (Al-Mulk: 2)

Well, Islam is not supposed to burden the believer. I don't feel constrained at all. It is not a "highly regulated system", it's normal. We abstain and control ourselves from commiting sins, we do good, maintain good relations with each other, it's all good.

Google Islam in Iran,
Cutting off hands for stealing,
Stoning women for Adultery, (Rarely men)
Men having 4 wives and being able to divorce on demand.
(Men have it much better than Women in Islam)
Illegal to preach any other faith.
Getting killed if you convert.
Honestly I am a Christian, and I would not even want to live in a Christian Autocracy, much less a Muslim one!
Peace!
