I think it's ridiculous considering how many buffets that city has. There is so much food wasted, it's a shame. He could have implemented a better plan.

Well some might be in favor of homeless peoples human rights, but you cannot promote homelessness in a city that revolves around tourism. People do not want to go to Las Vegas and be pestered by homeless people. It would be bad for the city's economy, he is doing exactly what he should be doing as mayor. I wish they would do something about all these bums in Houston, its embarrassing, and probably not going to get much better with the upcoming hurricane season. I am not looking forward to more Louisiana criminals invading our city, raising the crime rate, starting more gang warfare, selling crack, and hanging out on every major intersection. For those of you who think I am awful for saying such things, you are naive to the situation down here and should shut your traps.

Does he suggest giving them vinegar to drink instead of water , too ? Could it be that most homeless can not vote or gamble ? I think he is not a very nice person and I wonder how he ever became mayor . I hate to imagine what the other candidates were like . Many homeless are mentally ill and in desperate need of help - most , too ill to seek help on their own ; or too afraid to accept help .Man's inhumanity to man is nothing new . This mayor is the epitome of man's inhumanity to man ; and I think this ought to be a bigger story than it is .

I believe they will be fed, but not on the streets. They have been given a place to go to receive food, but the city wants them off of the streets and away from the tourist. It is scary to continually have strange men approach you for money or food. Give to the organizations that have set up food distribution centers in that area.

There is a higher law called the Law of God that supercedes anything the mayor may try to impose.

I think its awful just because someone is homeless does not mean they are a bum, there are many reasons ppl are homeless, no one has any right to judge, because u never know what is in store for your own life.

I think that's pretty horrible. I see nothing wrong with giving someone who is hungry something to eat. How is it going to be enforced?? I'm sure there's no other crime in Vegas so the cops will be free to make sure no one tries to help a fellow human being.

i've never heard of that.
I doubt that such a law is constitutional.
Does it mean I can't share a soda with my friend? Can I only share it with him if he owns a house? Can I only share it with him if he pays for part of it?
I just don't see how this "law" will hold up in court.
