Dont be intimidated by upperclassmen. (at our homecoming game all the upperclassmen always yell Go Home Freshmen. lol)

My biggest tip is join alotta clubs/sports so you can make friends with the upperclassmen. Cuz once your friends with them its just easier that way.

O and dont be wicked slutty or anything, Nobody likes the slutty freshman.

Ahhh...High School. The experience is dependent on what you make of it. If you keep your positive attitude, then you should enjoy the next 4 years. The people you surround yourself with, however, is the key. Make sure that they are people that share your values and outlook on things. Sure, your opinions will change (and you will change) as high school goes on, but don't get lost in the cliques and peer pressure. Why try to impress a bunch of people that you will lose touch with after you graduate? All of it won't matter when you move on to college.

Another thing that will increase your enjoyment of the high school years is to become involved. Join a sport, club, committee, band, anything that will get you into the school spirit. Also, even though you are a freshman and graduation seems far away, always think about your academics and college. The sooner you plan for it, the easier it will be by the time you're a senior. TRUST me on this one. There is nothing more stressful in high school than studying for the SATs, college applications, and graduation.

Other than that, I wish you the best of luck!!!

Be a leader, in order to do that you need to stick to your beliefs and stay away from drugs, and sex.
Having a boyfriend is great, but my cousins decided they didn't want boyfriends because it's too much of a hassle and they didn't want to miss out on everything. One of my cousin's now makes $70,000 a year and still does whatever she wants. The other doesn't make as much, but she still does what ever she wants.
Concentrate on things you want to do and who you want to be and don't let anyone try to knock you off your course.
Do well in school. Don't just accept b's and c's. If you excel you will excel in life.
Always have a positive attitude-- It sounds like you do already-- keep it up!
Always remember to do good things for yourself. Right now you are your only responsibility. Take care.
Don't make the same mistakes I did, which is, always worrying about what other people think -- way stressful.
Messing up, not doing my homework-- now I'm soo far behind my peers as an adult (I'm 35)
Having a boyfriend too soon-- I got pregnant & married when I was 18-- w/a guy 10 years older than me and who is the scum of the earth.

Believe it or not clubs are very important when applying for college. Remember that everything you do from her on out is looked at by prospective colleges. Try not to get too wrapped up in all the peer politics and just try to find a groove you fit into and enjoy the experience. Most importantly, remember that High School is only 720 days of your life. If things start to seem overwhelming, just remember that it is just a small part of your life and you have so much more to look forward to still.

Be happy, be safe, be smart and enjoy your youth. Don't grow up too fast, don't do drugs, don't smoke and don't have sex until you are ready for all that means. You will be fine. Congratulations on this major milestone.

Don't stand in the middle of the halls talking to friends. It's annoying and no one forgets a face.

Other than that, good luck. You're about to embark on an actual short but long feeling(?) journey filled with even more drama than middle school and completely clueless people with their heads stuck up their a.sses

Popularity, cliques, trends, all that stuff doesn't matter at all one you leave that place, and being smart really does. Spending 4 years being cool, is no trade off to spending 50 years in a dead end job. Stick to the books.
