If you say you are a Christian, you should live like a Christian, dress like a Christian, talk like a Christian. Other people should see a change in your life. You have a desire to serve the Lord. you tell others how much Jesus loves them, and how to be saved. You read your Bible, go to church, pray. You have that desire to seek God for the will of your life, and you put your Faith, and Trust in Him.

Actions speak louder than words, and people know instinctively whether you're the real thing rather than a "Bible thumper" who is just interested in carving in notches on their Bibles. People recognize the difference between genuine caring and an ego trip.
I'd say that you have received a beautiful gift. It is more difficult to encourage, on a daily basis, than to periodically stand at the lectern and give prepared talks.
Yes, you have helped to lead people, you just weren't aware of God's overall plan for that person. Often, many people talk to a person before they accept the Lord. Each person in the process has been placed there by God. (Remember Paul's example of each of us being part of a body fitted and joined together.)
I've seen people really "turned off" by the way some Christians talk. Surely you have come in contact with this on Yahoo! I've seen people turn their backs, not because of the words, but the way they were said. Your body language, lifestyle, and your interest in others show that you are a kind, sincere and caring person. People warm up to you and wonder what you have that they don't. Consequently, THEY'LL ask You what makes you different, and you'll know that the door to a person's heart is opening You'll be able to witness in a loving manner.

I think tht it is important to be real. Whoever you are you are.
What I think that we are supposed to do is be discerning to the will of God. If He has been working on someone we want to figure if what we hae to say or do is going to help or hinder the work that God has been doing.
What I see out there sometimes is a Christian that becomes overbearing, like a playful dog with no manners. Some people are more worried about the type of people they attract by becoming Christian than thinking about salvation. And then there is the idea that by becoming Christian you have to run around and tell everybody- becoming a pain in the butt.
Christians need to back off and use a little discernment before jumping into witnessing. Those that are seeking will ask questions. they always do. Then you are going to be set to be a part of God's work on this particular person.

You will know me by my words and deeds.
A christian you can tell just by talking about the weather, or another topic.
and no not by saying "YES the LORD send us good weather to day Thank the Lord"
There are things that true Christians believe.
Talk about bill C. G.W. Bush or Hillery C.
Talk about the aftermath of some of the hurricanes
Talk about Oil, Gold, justice system, in depth.
I can talk to a person for 10 minutes and tell if a person is a Christian, xhristian, or a Liberal.
Christian Knows
xhristian wishes he knew but has some of the key word to drop.
Liberal Does not know and does not want to know.

Mark 8:38 For whoever becomes ashamed of me an my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of man will also be ashamed of him when arrives in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
Like you, continuous prayer, that as many people as possible repent, and pray for guidance in directing people to Scriptures they want or need to know about.
Also, try to apply Matthew 25:34-29, help the hungry, thirsty, naked, prisoners, strangers, and sick..especially the Christians.
Galatians 6:10 Really, then, as long as we have time favorable for it, let us work what is good toward all, especially toward those related to us in the faith.
Ezekiel 3:17-21..(read)

The most important thing that we can do as Christians is to LIVE like Christians.
For by our ways, shall others come to want to know the Lord.
We can see this is true, simply by the number of questions on this forum that ask how someone can profess to be a Christian and then (fill in the blank).
We are being watched, not only by God, but by others and if we are not living as a Christian but only professing to be, others will see it and be turned off to the way and the truth.

To be an effective and good preacher of the word of God, you must preach what you do, and Do what you preach! You know, sometimes Christ is caught rather than taught. Actions speaks louder than words.
There are many ways, where we can show the love of Christ to others, one of which is through speaking the truth in love.
As children of God - what do we have? I want to keep this simple and call our attention to three things, that is, God loves us, God listens to us, and God leads us.
The scriptures says "Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do so," (Proverbs 3:27). Meaning, our duty of benevolence.
We ought not to focus all our attention on benevolence alone, and define our "religion" only in terms of generosity. This doesn't say that we should build human institutions and perpetuate the feeding of all the machinery involved (perhaps losing sight of the human need). This doesn't say we should walk around town and began passing out one-hundred dollar bills.
But in time, when we have the power, and the ability, and the resources to help those who are poor and in needs, who genuienly deserve the much needed help - who stand in need of what we can give ... we have to act as God acted - and give! And even to the extent that we have to sacrifice something we believe we have earned and we deserve - we give it up for those who genuienly deserve help. We need to think about all of this; pray about it and endeavor to do better.

My opinion is that nothing is important than God. Religions have proven useless. The objects of religion makers are not working. The object of religion makers was that people should love each other and stay with peace and harmony. But now a day we see that due to extreme religious thoughts peoples are fighting, hating and abusing to God and Religion of each other’s. I think to say yourself Christian or to show you are Christian is not so important but to act, to behave to work as per Jesus teaching is much more important.
I think it will better if people will give more importance to God and his teachings than the religion.
Spiritual peoples are engages in meditation, worshiping of God and doing good work, good deeds. To be a good man/woman is as equal as Jesus. Good men/women is God’s men. So try to be good man/woman then only God will please you and love you. God may bless you.

I show the Love of G-d by obeying my husband.
I show the love of G-d by taking care of my children.
I show the love of G-d by being a good employee and obeying the laws of the land.
I show the love of G-d by loving others, listening to them, feeding them, being a good Friend and praying for them.
I show the love of G-d by having an open home, ready for anyone to come in out of the cold world, into a warm house for fellowship and a cookie.
I show my love of G-d by standing up for what is right and speaking the word.
Blessings!
