If your son goes to sleep at 7 for the night and takes a 1 hour nap during the day....count your blessings! My sister in laws baby never napped and still went to bed at 8pm. Every baby is different and some just requires more sleep or less than others. Both my kids took 2 2-hour naps a day and went to bed at 9pm.

What time does he wake up in the morning? Most 1 year olds sleep about 12 hours a day total.

Here's a scenario for you. My nephew just turned one. He get's up at 9:00am, lays down again at 11:30am...sleeps for 2-4 hours. Is up until 10:00pm and back up again around 9:00am So he sleeps about 14-16 hours a day. How well does your son sleep through the night? What time does he get up in the morning?

be happy he sleeps at all in the daytime. My two year never naps. She goes to bed at about 8pm, but she sleeps almost 10 hours so she getting the rest she needs. As long as he sleeps 10-12 hours a day he's fine.

Well, only an hour during the day isn't too bad. The going to bed at seven is great.

It depends on how early he wakes up. He should sleep for 10-14 hours.

That doesn't seem like a lot of nap time but it could be a phase. If he's sleeping through the night I'm sure everything will be fine.
