Sounds like a power struggle to me. You both want to be in control. Someone has to submit.

apparently he doesn't know what he wants. I dated a guy off and on for 8 whole years that did the same crap. Doesn't want you unless you act like you don't want him. Chances are there is not future in this. The only thing you can do is talk to him. Ask him if he wants you or not. If he can't give you a straight answer, move on. Don't waste as much time as I did. I told him to stay away from me, even had to threaten him with violence, and I'm happier now w/out worrying about him. Our mutual friends tell me he still whines about me, but I tell them yeah and if we got back together now, he'd just do the same thing again. They agree, of course. I'm now in a committed relationship with a man I know loves me withoout doubt.

It sounds as though your very immature ( the both of you ). Its going to take 1 of you to break the cycle...just tell him how you feel...if it doesn't work out you can say that you tried something different cant you! If it does work..all the better! Good luck!

Doesn't sound like a very healthy relationship to me. Why are you both playing mind games with each other? Move on before you start hurting each other.

I think he just don't want to be around you when a lot of people around. If he can't give you all the time then he don't need to be with you. That cause to many problems I think you should tell him how you feel and if he don't change then you don't need him.

firstly, he wants sex..and secondly,he wants sex..some men think if they get u interested then treat u like crap then you'll go running after them blah blah.. the men who think like that don't realise that it doesn't necessarily work like that all the time.. perhaps thats his game.. maybe he's not sure if u're interested in him and gets insecure, hence the ignoring u.. if he thinks u're snubbing him he may be acting on a bruised ego..
men... they always want sex first and foremost.. good luck with this one, men are difficult creatures...

Just ask him straight out what is going on with you both.you don't know where you are with him and you would like the relationship to develop. If he wants the same bingo if not he will tell you.

you answered your own question there. Neither of you are any good at showing your true feelings. Sit down and talk about it or end it. Thats very unhealthy
