The mirror reflects only the shell of the soul, ie the body.
God has a mirror that reflects the true inner self. You have to attain that spiritually, religiously.

You are a child of God. Your body is here on earth for a limited period of time so that you can praise & thank Him in all your ways. Just be an obedient child.
He has given you breath of Life which you are taking. Just Thank Him. He is always smiling at you. Looking at ya.

The BIBLE is a Mirror Too!
You can look in it and See who you are, and then, it you stay in it long enough, it will change you into the Image of JESUS---JESUS is in there TOO!
